"It seems to be an abandoned fortress. For now, let's rest here."
We entered the fortress and instantly sat down, resting up as much as possible.
"How are your wounds Siegfried?" Jeanne spoke up.
"My Noble Phantasm should be able to heal your wounds a little. But, this wound is too deep." Marie said as she looked at Siegfrieds wounds.
"It seems that my clone attempted to help heal you, but it didn't work..." I muttered.
"...It seems to be sort of curse." The dragon slayer grunted.
"Why were you in that town anyways?" Jeanne asked.
"It seems I was quickly summoned there. While I was wandering without a master… I saw the town being attacked."
"Then you went there to help right?" Marie asked.
"Yes… I'm not as capable compared to when I was alive, but I figured I could manage with my Illusionary Greatsword. Issen's clone was fighting off the monsters, but was forced to retreat when multiple servants attacked. But, in the heat of the battle a Rider hid me in that castle. The Rider said it was possible to cure these wounds. So there, I had no choice but to wait, the clone did attempt to heal my wounds but as we thought, it did not work."
I'm surprised the clone managed to hold up against that many monsters, actually. I suppose I should stop underestimating myself...
"Was it perhaps a woman that controlled a dragon?" Mashu asked.
Siegfried gained a look of deep thought. "A dragon…? No, it was a turtle…No, a dragon….A dragon turtle….Now that you say that…yes, it was a dragon…"
"I know right? That thing is difficult to call a dragon." I deadpanned.
No matter how I think about it, the way I imagine a dragon to look like is more akin to Fafnir then Tarasque.
"That's right. She had the atmosphere of a Ruler, just like you." Siegfried pointed towards Jeanne.
"It must be…. Saint Martha."
"I see, she used the wicked dragon Tarasque to break away from the battle, so that was Saint Martha. I must give my thanks to her."
"...." We remained silent at hearing that.
"I see. No, it's alright. She was prepared for it….It is most certain that the help I received is the reason I'm still here."
"Perhaps, there is a spell that can remove the curse. However, it must be from a high ranking servant." Jeanne stated after looking over the wound.
"Well we have quite a few of them here. Can any of you do this?" I asked the others.
All of them shook their heads.
"It would have to be another 'Saint' servant. If we had another saint, then I could work with them to remove the curse and heal the wounds." Jeanne said, causing us all to sigh.
"What are the chances we would find another saint servant?" Lily asked nervously.
"….Ah, it is possible." Roman spoke up suddenly. "Jeanne D'arc holds the Holy Grail...how rude of me, I mean the 'Dragon Witch'. There was reaction detected that a Saint may have been summoned."
"I only know of the servants we've faced together..." Siegfried shook his head.
"Well, other then the ones with us, we haven't encountered any other friendly servants either." I sighed.
"It might be more dangerous but it would be a good idea to split up. Dragon Slayer Siegfried, to solve your curse we will need to defeat Fafnir won't we?"
"But…" Jeanne looked hesitant, as was I.
"Jeanne?" Marie looked over to the holy maiden.
"Ah, no…. it's nothing. You're right, I believe that's reasonable. What do you think, Issen-Kun?"
I frowned and thought about it before sighing. "Alright then. We will separate and search France for another saint servant."
"Fortunately, French territory has been cut to less than half during this time. It shouldn't be too difficult to search. The problem is how to split us up…" Mashu trailed off.
"Stop there. Sorry to interrupt during your discussion but wandering monsters have intruded."
We nodded and quickly went outside to deal with the monsters. As we were finishing up, Marie suddenly gets an idea.
"I've just come with an idea! Let's decide how to split up by drawing from a lottery!"
I turned to Marie with a dry expression. "...what?"
"I mean, for these kinds of moments it should be a lottery right! Amadeus, please prepare the lottery!"
I highly doubt that he actually-
"You just want to draw things out don't you? I understand. I'll prepare the lottery. Now we can split the group up."
"No way!"
He actually had straw! What the hell!?
The way the lottery worked was whoever got the short straws would be together and the same for the lomg straw.
In the end it was like this:
Jeanne, Marie, Arturia, and Scathath.
Shirou, Cu, Mashu, Lily, Amadues, and I.
"It seems I'm with Marie." Jeanne smiled, but sent me a...worried gaze?
"Just be careful. Despite being low in numbers, your group has two powerhouse so you should be fine...but stay on your toes."
"Amadeus. You're with Issen-san." Marie smiled over to Amadues.
"Honestly, I'm quite worried to leave you on your own. No, now is not the time to be worrying.… but, I shall believe in the fate chosen by lottery. It would be bad luck to go against it. Well, you can always your Noble Phantasm to escape. Jeanne specializes in protection as well. The other two are muscleheads so you should be fine."
"...what was that?" Scathath 'smiled', a demonic aura coming off of her.
"Oh dear. Did I say 'muscleheads'? I meant two beautiful and strong women."
Scathath snorted, Arturia not really looking all that affected. Though she does seem annoyed that she keeps getting in the other group away from mine. Wait a minute...
"Ah, shit."
"What is it, Master?"
"No no no! The last time the three of us were in a group, we had to fight hordes upon hordes of monsters!"
I pointed at Cu, Shirou, and I while remembering the time we were patrolling the forest.
"You'll just have to accept it, master. It'll be even more bad luck if we go against the lottery." Shirou sighed.
"Damn, you're right..." I slumped down.
"Amadeus, try to get along with everyone. You're the type to be misunderstood after all." Marie suddenly said.
"I don't want to hear that from you. I should be saying that to you Marie."
"Hm?"
"No, nothing. Try to get into the travelling mindset. If you get hungry don't go try looking for a bakery."
"What! I just remembered the time you proposed to me, my heart is beating so fast!"
"Isn't that kind of random?" I deadpanned.
"Wait. Why would you think that from what I just said!"
Exactly!
"A…. proposal? What? With Marie-san? Amadeus-san said that?" Mashu asked, looking confused.
"Oh, you didn't know Mashu? It's a rather famous story. That Mr. Amadeus, when he was six years old proposed to seven year old Marie." Roman informed.
"Yes, he had slipped and I caught him with hand, he gazed at me with sparkling eyes. 'Thank you, wonderful person. I am called Amadeus.'" Marie started to imitate Amadues. "'If my lady has not yet been promised marriage from another as beautiful as you, let me be the first to ask you for your hand in marriage.' That's what he said! From the day I was born, I've never experienced such a prosperous moment!"
Wow...I never thought I could actually feel embarassed for another person, until now.
"Never until the end of the world I would have thought to hear this…. What a nightmare…."
Amadues had his hands over his face, appearing to be embarassed and exasperated at the same time.
"Hehe, well of course. I happily told this to everyone!"
"Because of you! It was because of you wasn't it! You're such a femme fatale!" Amadues cried out.
"Well I had no choice. Because it wasn't my choice to decide on my engagement." She then paused. "And also..."
"And also?"
"You know what happened after in my life don't you? I was happy for that. I was happy to have declined you. That way, you became the musician that the people loved. And then, my life ended as the foolish Queen."
Suddenly the atmosphere become more solemn as Maries smile fades.
"It can't be helped. There wasn't any helping it. Because I-I was always dreaming about love. I hopelessly fell in love with France didn't I? Unloved by the people, unloved by my country. Because of that way of thinking, in the end, by the hands of the citizens my life stopped."
"Marie, that's…" Jeanne trailed off.
I was about to speak up but Amadues beat me to it.
"…..What is this? Are you an idiot?"
"Am I an idiot?"
"Yes. This is a huge misunderstanding. You fell in love with the country of France? That's wrong. You did not fall in love with the country of France. The country of France loved you."
"…..Yes. Thank you, Mozart." Marie smiled gently before tilting her head. "Huh? Isn't that strange? Then why was I killed by the people that loved me?"
"Ah. Humans just work that way. Love can easily become hate. Because you were loved, you were also hated."
"To be hated because you were loved… Because you yearned to be loved, those lovers extended their hands." Mashu muttered.
Well, it's impossible to be loved by everyone. Without a doubt there will always be someone who is jealous and turns multiple people against you. That's just human nature, like Amadues said.
"I see. It's difficult being human isn't it? After all, yes, even in the end, my love couldn't reach them." Marie muttered. "But it's alright. I am Marie Antoinette, the woman that was in love with France!"
Everyone sent the queen a smile, the depressing atmosphere lifting.
"See you later, Amadeus! I'm going! When I return, please let me listen to your piano again!"
"Ah, Jeanne-san. Try to keep in contact regularly. Here is a Chaldea communication device. By using magic, we will be able to communicate with each other."
Mashu handed Jeanne some kind of device similar to the one we have to contact Roman.
"I understand. I'll take care of it."
"Be safe. All of you." I said, looking them all in the eyes.
"You as well, master." Arturia smiled gently while Scathath nodded.
"Yes. Please look after yourself, Issen-Kun. Please don't do anything reckless."
"Yeah, yeah. I can't promise you that." I smiled before our groups separated.
I created a clone that then silently flickered after the other group, making sure to stay in the shadows. I have a bad feeling about that group for some reason...
As we were walking, Mashu talked to Amadues before we were attacked by multiple monsters, just as I had expected.
"How are you holding up, Siegfried?"
"I have enough strength to walk. Besides combat, I'll be fine. You'll have to bear me for a just awhile longer. Sorry."
"There's no need to apologise, you know. If I had trained my eyes just a bit more, I would be able to take down that dragon myself..."
I'm positive that the perfect Susanoo would be able to kill Fafnir. That dragon is strong, but it has nothing on Kurama, and we all know that Sasuke's Susanoo can compete with the Kyuubi.
"If anything, it's probably just bad luck that got you injured. I mean, a group of servants just happened across your location." I hope it wasn't because my clone was there...
"...yes, I've never had that much luck..."
I paused in my step, my skin paling.
"What's your luck stat?"
"E."
"DAMN ITTTT!!"
It wasn't even a minute later that Wyverns started to attack us. Haah...I hate my life sometimes. This day has been was too exhausting...
"We'll reach Thiers soon." Mashu informed.
"Thiers…. I believe it was known as a town of cutlery. I see the town, it seems it hasn't been destroyed yet."
"Is that so...?" Shirou hummed.
Ah, right. His hobby is cooking. Though I do enjoy to cook as well...
"Doctor, do you read any servants?" Mashu asked.
"Searching….. ok, within Thiers are two servants. Quickly, try to get in contact with them."
We nodded and hastily took off towards the town, upon approaching it we saw flames rising and a horrid sound entered our ears.
"Right now, flames are rising from the town." Mashu deadpanned.
"What the hell is that sound?" Cu grit his teeth.
"That grinding noise…. How horrible. Oh how horrible…. This feeling, never before such an evil sound, never before such evil magic! Oh goddesses, lend me your saving hands! What an unsettling premonition, I cannot stop shivering….!"
It seems that Amadues got it the worse due to super enhanced hearing. Poor guy...
We quickly made our way over to the area where the noise was coming from before halting, the scene in front of us is without a doubt the most terrifying thing we have encountered thus far.
"Why you! Why you, why you, why you! You're! Impudent! Far East! Country squirrel!"
"Ufufufufu. Who's really the impudent one? You can't even become a dragon, I am the one who is the true dragon! Did you really think you won? Elizabeth-san?"
On the left is girl with light blue hair and dragon horns, clad in a kimono while holding a fan. On the right is another girl, this time with bright pinkish red hair, having dragon horns and a reptilian tail, I believe the first girl called her Elizabeth.
"Uuuuu! You can't make me angry! Before I take care of Carmilla, I'll kill you first! You marsh stalker!"
Oi oi, you seem pretty angry to me...
"I am no stalker. I was just simply secretly watching you from behind to protect you. I am Kiyohime, the woman who lives for love."
"Your love is a violation of human rights!"
"I don't want to hear that from a pervert with a bloody torture fetish. Anyways this is about you, if you didn't do that then what would've you done?"
"What do you mean by that!? What do you mean by what!? I don't know what you're talking about, please stop spouting nonsense!!"
"…..What? Elizabeth, impossible you--"
"AAAAAA! Shut up shut up shut up! Prepare to die!"
"Just go ahead and try!"
Oh dear, both of them are readying their 'weapons'. Seriously, servants just keep getting weirder. Kiyohime uses a fan and Elizabeth uses a...microphone?
""AAAAAAAAAAA!!"" Both of them unleash high pitched and annoying war cries!
"Stop! Stop!! Any more would be inexcusable, your voices, these sounds, what blasphemy!"
It seems that Amadues couldn't take it any more as he starts to freak out.
"...do you think these two are saints?" I asked sarcastically, Shirou and Cu snorting in response.
"Of course not! Otherwise it would be the day they feel my wrath! If they were Saints then the world's religions would be flipped upside down!"
I can't help but agree with that statement.
"An-anyways please stop….! You two!"
Ah, there's Mashu being her adorable self as always. Even I know you can't stop a cat fight like that.
"Huh, what!?"
They both turn to us, seems like they finally noticed us huh?
"I'm busy. Why don't you come back the day before yesterday." Kiyohime dismissed us.
"Ha. Soon you won't be so busy. Until the next Holy Grail War!"
"…pfft. Frill-necked lizard."
"Rat snake!"
"Beaded lizard."
"Viper!"
My eyebrow began to twitch violently as my patience runs thin. This is really annoying! We can't just leave them without asking if they've seen any saint servants!
With my sharingan and my lightning armor activated, I flickered in front of both of them before gripping both of their heads tightly and lifting them up.
"AAAAA! My head! My head!"
"L-let me go this instant, you brute!"
I increased the strength of my grip, allowing some lightning to shock their systems before bringing them closer to me, allowing me to look them in the eyes.
I used genjutsu to make the demonic sharingan appear behind me while I 'smile' at them.
"I believe I've won. Now do us all a favor and shut. up."
With that final thing said, I slammed their heads together and huffed out a breath as I turned of my sharingan before flickering back to the group.
"Heh, you can be pretty scary some times there, master!"
"They were pissing me off. I've got better things to do then listening to these servants screech at each other."
Meanwhile the two of them were kneeling on the ground, holding their heads with teary expressions.
"I'm-I'm defeated….. Kyuu."
"N-not bad….I'll...I'll let you go this time…."
I rolled my eyes at hearing them. "Now that you've calmed down, will you listen to our story?"
They started squabbling a bit again, causing me to send out some chidori Senbon near their feet.
"Shut up. We're trying to find a saint servant, have you run across any?"
"A saint? Within this country are deeply rooted teachings of a Saint, there should be someone around here that has some knowledge of a Saint."
"Finally...." I muttered.
"Yes, I encountered someone before I met Elizabeth. I had a dangerous fight there but, he helped me realize I was a Berserker by using his sword. His true name was Saint George. He was a famous Saint wasn't he?" Kiyohime said, looking proud.
"George! There was a famous Saint called St. George….. Yes, he should be able to help us." Roman popped up, surprised at the name. "Do you know which way he went?"
"Unfortunately. We split off in opposite directions, he went westward."
"West then…. That was the direction Jeanne-san's group went. I'll contact them now!"
After messaging Jeanne and informing her of the saint, we quickly started to make ourway there. Monsters continued to attack us, but without warning my clone from before dispelled.
"Marie!"
I didn't wait for the others as I activated lightning armor and reinforced my legs. A loud crack sounded through the area as I broke the sound barrier, my veins coming to close to bursting while my bones are aching.
I have to make it in time!
I'm not going to allow another Marie(Mary) die!

Jeanne sent a sad look back towards the town they left Marie to face off against the enemy servants. Arturia looks sad but respect gleaming in her eyes for the queen. Scathath looks indifferent towards the whole thing, but a gleam of respect can be found as well.
Saint George was silent as he followed alongside the group.
"Wait..." Scathath suddenly tensed. "Something is coming."
Wordlessly they all brought out their weapons...only for something to pass them up with such speed that the ground shattered and a large wind was kicked up.
Time seemed to move at a crawl when the figure passed the group, they all caught sight of the familiar weird red eyes of their master before he was gone.
"Issen-Kun!?"
Jeanne tried to call out, but the boy was already long gone.
The other group who was chasing after Issen stopped upon seeing Jeanne and the others.
"Archer, what's going on?"
"Don't ask me. Master just suddenly gained a panicked look and took off towards the town. Do you know why?"
"But that's...Marie had stayed behind when numerous servants were detected..."
"What!?" Amadues yelled in shock before a resigned expression came up. "...that foolish girl."
"It'll be alright, Amadues-San. Senpai will save her." Mashu stated with absolute certainty.
"But..."
Jeanne was worried, that much anyone could tell by simply looking at her face.
"Don't worry too much, Lass. Master should be fine, he's got a bunch of different ways to retreat with the little queen." Cu drawled.
While the words eased the worry a little bit, the group was still tense.
'Please be safe, Issen-Kun.'
The town is in ruins, buildings on fire and others reduced to rubble. Marie is currently on her knees, her breathing ragged with burn marks and cuts scattered over her body. In front of her is Jeanne Alter, the great dragon besides the 'Dragon Witch' as she stares down at the queen.
"I'm surprised you are still standing. Did you come this far, alluded by ideas of protecting the townspeople? By none other than the ones that killed you? The ones that hoisted the guillotine to cut your head off!"
"Yes, I'm disillusioned. For a witch, you didn't even know that? You're right, I was executed. I was scorned, I was despised. But even if so, the answer isn't by destroying everything around you. I was appointed as queen by the people. Without any citizens, the queen would not have anyone to call her a queen. That goes without saying isn't it? If they don't wish, then they will leave."
Marie tried to stand up but due to her wounds was unable to. Instead of trying to stand again, she continued talking.
"That is the fate of those that serve the country. I believe that after my execution, the people were able to be happy once again. Always saying Viva La France! As long as the stars shine brightly it'll be alright. I'm confident in my words. 'Dragon Witch'…"
Jeanne Alter found herself slowly getting more and more annoyed as this girl continues to talk.
"...But what kind of person are you really?"
That simple question finally pushed Jeanne Alter over the edge and she lashed out.
"Shut up!"
The dragon opened its mouth and unleashed a torrent of flames at the Rider servant who closed her eyes.
"….Goodbye, Jeanne. Yes, I'm happy to have met you. As long as I was able to help Saint that saved France…. No, as long as I was able to help 'my friend'. I will gladly shed the rest of my radiance and fall. Like the stars, like a flower. Like the wildest dreams."
However, the flames never reached her, not even a bit of heat hit her. Instead a large armored purple spectral warrior surrounded both her and a familiar boy.
Issen kept a stoic expression on his face, hiding the pain he's in. His right leg is bleeding from multiple veins bursting, every muscle is aching, his chakra low, his chest wound open, and his eyes throbbing from all of the use over the day.
In other words he feels like absolute shit at the moment.
"...sorry. I don't have any cool one liners to say." Issen's lips twitched upwards as he glanced back to Marie, relieved he made it.
Marie looked at Issen with a large smile, as if he was her knight in shining armor coming to save her.
"You!"
"That's a nasty expression you have there, Dragon Witch. What, are you unhappy with my presence?"
"Shut up! People like you don't understand anything, you live a sheltered little life! Just like the people I saved and betrayed me!"
Issen scoffed. "Whatever. I'm not going to say my life was some huge tradegy, nor am I going to tell you my life story. However, I will say that you had a much better start in life then I did, fake."
"I am not the fake! That 'saint' is the fake!"
Issen rolled his eyes but didn't respond. He needs to escape now, he can't keep up this Susanoo for that long.
"Yeah yeah. I'm sure she is."
The Susanoo blocked the dragons fire and held up two of it's hands, a string forming with eight magatama on it.
The Susanoo seemed to smile and the bottom right arm held up its middle finger. Of course Issen knew it was petty, but he's tired and cranky.
"Yasaka no Magatama!"
The magatama were flung off the string, flying at the dragon who attemtped to fly up when it saw the attack.
BBOOOOMMM BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM
"Amaterasu!"
Issen then created a wall of black flames between the dragon witch and himself, making sure she can't jump off the dragon and go after them.
"Alright, let's get out of here!"
Ignoring the searing pain in his body, he put Marie on his shoulder and flickered away before running towards the area his servants are.
/0\
"Issen-Kun!"
I put Marie down, and then fell on my face with a groan.
...or rather I would have if Siegfried didn't catch me and place me on his back.
"Damn....today sucked."
I heard a few chuckles while a few others quickly went to my side.
"What the-! Your vitals are all over the place!"
"I don't think...you need...to look at the monitor....to figure that out."
My right leg is injured, but not to the point I can't heal it. However, my chakra is very low. I used Susanoo a lot today, along with Amaterasu, jutsu against wyverns, and more.
"Marie! Are you alright?"
I tilted my head and saw Amadues fussing over Marie, bringing a smile to my face. Right, as long as I breathe I will not allow my comrades to die.
Siegfried and the otherstook off for the forest to make a camp, with me on his back the entire time.
...god, I really hope that this isn't going to become a normal thing in these singularities.
When we reached a nice clearing, Siegfried leaned me against a tree. The instant he separated from me Mashu, both Sabers, and Jeanne were already in front of me. Scathath was a bit behind them, looking at me with interested(?) eyes.
"Master, can we do anything to help?"
I repressed the urge to roll my eyes so I don't offend Arturia.
"I'll be fine after a night's rest...thank you for asking though."
Well that's not particularly true. I'll heal the worst of my wounds and my Chakra will be at full capacity tomorrow. I'll still be as sore as hell though.
Without another word, I began to heal my wounds while making some small talk with the girls in front of me.
"Issen-San~!"
I blinked when Mariewas suddenly in front of me with a happy smile.
"Yes? What do you need, Marie? Are your wounds all healed up?"
An adorable pout formed on her face as she looked at me.
"I should be asking you that! I wish to thank you for saving me! I had given up and accepted my fate upon meeting the Dragon Witch. Now I can stay until the end and see France be saved!"
"Its fine. I won't let my comrades die."
"Non! I will have to reward you~!"
"Marie!"
Without warning, Jeanne suddenly appeared and held Marie back as she had suddenly gotten really close to my face, my lips in particular.
I started to sweat when I realised what was about to happen. What is with this kiss happy lady!? Isn't she married!?
"Ah! Jeanne! Why did you stop me? I was expressing my thanks to, Issen-San. He saved me you know?"
"B-but it's not proper to kiss a boy that you are not in a relationship with! And are you not married?"
"puuuhh~! I was summoned as a young maiden, searching for love!"
"Even so!" Jeanne said sternly.
"Hm? Are you perhaps jealous, Jeanne?"
"W-what?"
Um, I really don't want to be here anymore!
With that thought in mind, I hastily left the campsite where the others were watching Jeanne and Marie with amused expressions.
I stopped a good distance away at a small pond. Heaving a sigh, I went up to a boulder and sat in the lotus position.
It's always easier to regenerate chakra like this, as well as train with sensing nature energy.
Still, today was exhausting. Not only was I not really able to get much sleep last night due to the monsters attacking alongside Saint Martha, I then had to hold off against that damned dragon with the armored Susanoo, I had to fight waves of monsters alongside my servants, sort of fought with Kiyohime and Elizabeth, and the practically destroyed my body in my rush to get to Marie. Not to mention the fact that I used Susanoo again!
Though I guess I should have expected that going against legendary heroes and monsters wouldn't be easy. Even if I have heroes on my side.
However, I'm really going to have to train my ass off upon going back to Chaldea. Trihexa is a being that has both the desire and strength to destroy worlds. There's simply no way I can beat it as I am now.
Is there any servants with the power to destroy worlds? If there is, hopefully I can summon them...
I sat there, enjoying the peace and quiet with the gentle breeze blowing through my hair, and the sounds of the many different wild life at the pond entering my ears.
Around twenty or so minutes later heard the sound of footsteps approaching my position, but I didn't move as I recognised the presence.
"Are you alright, Issen-Kun?"
I opened my right eye and tilted my head so I could see Jeanne.
"Yes, I'm fine. I should be fit to fight tomorrow."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I am quite sure!" I stated, an amused smile on my face.
It's...nice to have someone fuss over you. Usually I would be the doting older brother in the orphanage, not getting much rest. While this is slightly different, it still feels nice all the same.
Jeanne sighed sadly as she came up besides me and sat down.
"...you're so strong, Issen-Kun."
"What do you mean?"
Certainly I can be called 'strong', thanks to the power I've gathered, but I don't think that's the kind of strength she's referring to.
"...I had left Marie in that city to her death. I allowed my friend to go out to her death, not helping her." Jeanne said, her gaze downcast before smiling over at me. "But you ran right into danger and saved her. The master went and fought off a mighty dragon and it's master, returning back alive. Even when you were wounded you still fought bravely..."
I frowned at hearing that.
"Jeanne, you too are strong. More so then I am. You, a mere farm girl had left behind her home to join a bloody war. When you were captured by the English and burnt at the stake, you show no hatred for them and even fight for them."
"But what if I'm not the real 'me'?"
"You are the real one."
"How do you know? Why do you think so?"
I looked at Jeanne, meeting her gaze.
"Do you love your family?"
The girl looked taken aback by the question before nodding her head with an incredulous expression.
"Of course I do! It tore my heart to pieces at having to leave them!"
"Then do you love France?"
"Yes! It is my home. Why are you asking these questions?"
"Jeanne Alter obviously holds zero love for France, as well as her family. How can she be you if that is true? No matter how much I think of it, there is simply no way that she is the real Jeanne D'arc. I know that you are the real Jeanne."
I gripped her right hand in my left as I said this, smiling lightly.
"...thank you. I feel much better now. Yes, I will ask Jeanne Alter if she remembers our family, and the happy times we had."
Jeanne sent me a warm look, the moonlight making her even more beautiful. I hastily looked away, my heart beating fast and my face heating up.
What the hell is going on with me? Have I developed feelings for her in three days!?
Though it certainly felt longer.
"So tomorrow is the end, huh...?"
I looked at Jeanne with a confused expression. Why does she seem sad?
"Jeanne?"
"Ah! No, I'm happy about saving France....it's just..."
I think I understand what she's trying to say. "You are sad to leave to the throne of heroes again?"
"Yes, I wish to continue to help you and the others, but I will dissapear once this is over." Jeanne said sadly.
"Well, all I have to do is summon you then!"
"Eh?"
"What? Did you think I would let you leave that easily? Nope! Your stuck with me, missy!" I grinned.
Jeanne broke into a fit of giggles. "Your right. I suppose I will just have to wait for you then."
"Don't worry, I'll summon you for sure."
The chaldea system summons the full servant into the world, allowing them to possess memories of the grail wars they have been in. For example, Arturia and Cu remembers the holy grail war they were in. Though this Arturia was from the UBW route while Cu is from Heaven's Feel.
A sudden wave of exhaustion hits me and my eyes droop slightly.
A hand pulled on my shoulder and I suddenly found my head on Jeanne's lap.
"Here...you can sleep here for tonight."
I could barely hear Jeanne's bashful voice as I slowly descend into a comfortable slumber.
Here's the next chapter!
I would have released a chapter sooner, but I ended up going to visit family for 4th of July. I wasn't able to work on it much, so it was finished later then I wished.
The Orleans arc is ending next chapter! The grand battle between chaldea servants and Jeanne Alters servants will commence.
Thanks for reading~!
