Chapter 2: The Old Made New
"I choose another chance. I dont want to see or experience people go through or cause the same things that happend to me."
'Hmmm... interesting, but too bad you would've made a great addition to our legion, having been through all that. Well that's all then, you will be sent to uhhh... ummm, well you can figure that out.'
"So what will I be doing in this new place?"
'You will just be living, doing whatever your new life leads you to do. But now you have a few more choices to make, first, will you start anew with parents as a baby, or will you start out a few years old. Now for the second option since you cant just come into existence you will have to be an orphan so the world doesn't reject you.'
'Your second choice is whether or not to keep your memories. This wouldn't usually be an option, but I feel that you will end up doing some special things in this new world.'
"Before I choose, I have to ask, why was I chosen. Is it because i killed myself, or because i walked this so called Path of guilt. I doubt it's the latter because everybody feels guilty about something or the other, or becomes something someone is guilty about."
'Sigh, well you sort of caused something special, you didn't have overwhelming emotions, or anything like that. It's just that you set off a chain, you didn't leave a message, you didn't wait for anybody to talk you out of it, you didn't reach out to anybody, you just did it. Which isn't exactly unheard of, anyways people ended up digging further into the subject and looked up your past, saw everything that has happened to you. This information was eventually shared and spread more and more similar situations, eventually popped up. So to say your actions didn't bring the best results at first. For now it's just begun but people are starting to realize how bad it is was for you. In the future the actions and bad things that happened to you will be dealt with more harshly, people will care more, and when it happens to them people won't be as scared to share it.'
'Your actions weren't necessarily good but people, the masses, felt that you indirectly caused all this. So now your being given a chance, people felt GUILTY that despite you causing all this, you ended up dead having had a horrible life. Even HE forgives you, realizes, the pain you had gone through and why you did what you did, he still thinks it was bad is upset that you pushed Him so far, nonetheless he forgives you. Your actions will end up saving a lot of lives in the future so now were giving you a chance at a new one.
I couldn't help but sob, I didn't know what do with all this information, whether to be sad, or upset that people are benefitting from my death, or even happy that He forgave me. But now it is time to make a choice.
"Ok, I would like to live with my memories, so I can know not to make That mistake again. As for how I will 'come into the world' i'd like to start as a newborn, that way it will truly be a brand new life."
Excellent now when you first enter the world you will not have your memories, you will just be highly intelligent you will get your memories back at the time of your First Step.
