Chapter 2: OUT OF TIME
On March 13,1944 Hitler was informed that the project was almost ready for the first test.
Himmler had warned Hitler that with the increased Allied bomming the plan needed to be moved up.
Soviet armies were crossing into mayland Germany now for the first time.
Hitler gave orders to redeploy German troops that were in Italy and move them to the Eastern front.
Doing this it was hoped that this would slow down the advancing Soviets.
Himmler notified Hitler that everything would be ready to use by April 3.
