Adel wandered in the mountains, searching for a good base. It was getting dark and he decided to delay his return for few days. Naturally, the rent for the Sky strider would increase accordingly.
Adel brought the unconscious bandit into a clearing and decided to conduct his experiments quickly. He took out clothes and stuffed them into the man's mouth.
The man regained his consciousness and opened his eyes wide, it was filled with confusion. He attempted to speak but all that comes out was a muffled sound. It was then that the man became aware of the pain in his body, and concluded with his rich experience that he was grievously injured.
He didn't have the time nor the leisure to think about the events prior, for he noticed the burning sensation in his meridians. His Qi was contaminated by a weird force and it was slowly corroding his body from inside out, as though what runs through it was fiery lava.
'That's right... Boss! We were attacked!' Wolf finally remembered what happened, he attempted to yell and ask the stranger about it, but he was pinned to the ground by a strong yet small foot.
His head was grabbed and a piercing pain assaulted his. His brain immediately cut all sensations in his body to save him from the agony. His consciousness left him and he was numb all over, but his body was twitching uncontrollably.
Adel observed the changes happening on the bandit. Similar to the bunny, the man's eyes turned gold and some of his hair immediately turned white in color. His golden Qi transformed the man's Qi and pervaded throughout his meridians, soon, all that was left was the golden Qi.
The man stared blankly at the space, his eyes devoid of spirit. Adel sensed the familiar sensation of being in control, and he could feel and control his golden Qi inside the man with a high degree of freedom.
Adel made the man stand up, and formed a golden spear using the man's Qi. It looks strong and menacing.
Adel disposed the spear and made the body of the man perform various martial arts from his previous life. The man repeated the movements with ease and the control of his Qi was flawless because of the God Eyes. Although his consciousness was currently sealed, Adel had planted the seed in his subconscious and it was possible that the bandit might master all these techniques. It was even possible for him to learn Judgement Spear, as he also possessed God Eyes.
Naturally, Adel was fully aware of these, he knew that his special pair of
eyes are extremely formidable.
After having transferred the martial arts he wanted to teach, Adel eased the golden Qi in the man's head and released his consciousness, however, he let some of it remain to seal some of his memories, specially this meeting.
Adel left the unconscious man on the forest and headed towards the sect. He wasn't afraid of revenge this time, as even at this distance, he could take the bandit's life in an instant.
He returned the sky strider and paid his remaining balances before proceeding to see his fellow disciples. To his surprise, other than Bao Mei who possessed a superior spiritual roots, quite a few disciples also reached the foundation stage. There were still two weeks before the deadline, if things continue to go this way, everyone would probably succeed in reaching the foundation stage. Most of them were hardworking after all.
Days passed by normally. Adel would occasionally show his face and would train just for appearance sake. It would be impossible for him with an inferior spiritual roots to reach foundation stage if he was always slacking.
When it was just a few days before a month pass by, Adel informed the martial art instructor that he reached the foundation stage.
"Not bad at all, though it would be better if you train more diligently." The instructor gave him an approving gaze. He had also noticed this kid who rarely trained, but he was consistent nonetheless.
"Take this and go to the Martial Arts Hall to choose a circulation art." The instructor gave him a piece of paper with words on it. The instructor then became stern. "Choosing a Circulation art is a very important matter. This will decide your fate as a cultivator, so choose the one that is compatible with you. Always listen to the old librarian's advice, and think twice before you choose. Now, off you go!"
Jian Chen, Bao Mei and the others, had already chose their circulation art. They have reached the early stage of Foundation but we're still quite far from reaching the mid stage.
Even without a superior spiritual root, Adel's speed in absorption and refining was several times more superior to a Divine class spiritual root. He has already reached the late stage of Foundation. He estimates that in less than a month, he would fly to the Core Formation realm and leave the rest to dust.
The Martial Arts Hall, or the archive, was a place of silence. It maintained a dignified and solemn atmosphere, the disciples dare not to let out a even a small croak.
Adel bravely approached the old librarian who was always attentive to guest. "Senior, I came to select a circulation art." He placed the piece of paper on the counter.
The old man smiled amicably. "Ah, a freshmen. It's always a pleasure to see guys like you here." The librarian took the paper and lead him to the second floor. "Many of your fellow disciples have arrived here a few days ago, they were really excited."
A wide array of books, scrolls, stone tablets and various lips was revealed inside as the door opened.
The old man looked at him and said. "Before I let you choose, do you know what circulation arts are?"
Adel repeated what he heard from the martial arts instructor during the lesson, and the old librarian was satisfied at his answer.
"Good, a circulation art is something that stays with you for a life time. For this reason, the sect has allowed even new disciples to access high grade circulation arts. But of course, the grades isn't just the deciding factor, it's always been compatibility and talent." The librarian explained further.
"To execute a high grade circulation arts requires an exquisite control of Qi, as most of them are more complicated than those of lower grades. Some lower grade Circulation are derived from their high grade counterparts for those with lesser talent and wisdom to practice."
"Once you have begun to practice a circulation art, the results are often irreversible, and there are two ways two ways to deal with it if one regrets their decision. The first one is to reset their cultivation. They would go back to being to foundation stage, but this method often results to something worse so it isn't recommended for newbies. The second method is to improve the circulation art, it is even riskier than the former, but if one succeed, he or she would be able to create a legacy."
Adel recalled the modern way's method. There is no such thing as reset, but they have ways to accommodate the less talented one. There was a technique back then which was hailed as the Universal circulation art. It was very weak, but in a sense, it was a perfect circulation art. It was a suitable foundation for one to create their own circulation art. The technique could be compared to a stem cell, which has the potential to become any type of cell in the body.
The elder finished his explanation and asked him. "What type of ability you would like to have. Something like controlling flames, water, lightning, air, or enhanced strength, or anything, tell me."
"Something related to flames." Adel considered his actual circulation art and decided to find a suitable disguise.
"Hmm." The elder have him a look of understanding.
The old librarian waved his hands and dozens of books on one corner floated up and landed on an empty table nearby. "Go and take a look. Choose one which you think is suited to you. I would recommended the Sun Fire circulation for you, but see if there's something else to your liking."
"Thank you elder." After the old librarian left, Adel immediately dug into the numerous books. He read them one by one and analyzed their characteristics, comparing them to his own circulation art.
Finally, he chose to take the Sun Fire circulation as its flames were golden. It would make a good disguise.
The elder approved of his choice and Adel returned and locked himself up in his cave abode to rest.
