Chapter 51: Life and Death Battle I
Rumble. Rumble.
The ground beneath them shook, the monsters were scared and hurriedly dug away as they struggled for their survival.
Not only that, the space around them endlessly rumbled while a loud sound could be heard from a distance away.
Ye Qin and Wang Tao faced the direction of the loud noise, as all of their monsters were getting ready for whatever was coming.
Rumble. Rumble.
Boom!
In front of them, a large explosion occurred, where metal and earth were flying everywhere. From behind, a large shadow could be seen erecting from the direction they faced.
Shree!
The large shadow flew out from the landslide revealing itself to the two brothers. In front of them, a large and tall body with large wings and a sharp beak that pronged out like a trident could be seen.
The giant bird in front of them had sharp eyes that looked as though they could see through anything. Its steel-like wings and golden brown armor that surrounded its entire body looked like an impenetrable wall that is impervious to any attack.
The huge bird looked at them and turned its head in a one-eighty degree angle while glaring at them. The large owl stared at them as though they had owed it money, but didn't move and only continued to stare.

[Additional Info: A huge beast that resembles the burrowing owl in the past. It's extremely large and can fly aboveground or while also living underground. Its beak is pronged like a trident while its eyes can see everything.]
"Level 48? It's much stronger than the Overlord level beast we had seen in the past, even with the training these past few months, I wonder if we can beat it."
"No, with the two of us here as well as my monsters, it will be an eight on one situation, the difference in bloodline should be able to make up the difference." Ye Qin thought.
"Boss, it's time to be serious and use all of our strength, otherwise we won't live to see tomorrow." Wang Tao said.
Ye Qin nodded as the Yinglong roared.
It flew forward at the Trident Owl with the Blackgold Python Tiger behind it after finding a safe place for the two brothers to stay at.
Whoosh!
The Trident Owl moved its huge wings that expanded over eight meters in length, creating a large windstorm that blew dust and dirt everywhere.
Ye Qin and Wang Tao covered their faces as they watched the battle from afar.
His Yinglong roared as it flew straight for the owl, just a few meters away from contact, it disappeared as though it had never been there before.
Whoosh!
Appearing beneath its foe, the Yinglong coiled its body around the huge birds' feet and dragged it backward.
The Trident Owl shook its feet, attempting to free itself while throwing it at the Blackgold Python Tiger. The Blackgold Python Tiger flew around emitting freezing cold ice elements in order to freeze the surrounding space.
The Yinglong's eyes shined with silver light as both itself and the Trident Owl disappeared.
Whoosh!
In another space, the Yinglong released itself from the Trident Owl, The Blackgold Python Tiger roared as it stared at the two monsters that had just disappeared but had suddenly reappeared.
The Trident Owl looked around the space that was containing it, the space was large allowing it to move freely, however, it could not see outside of the space surrounding it.
The Yinglong had used its space element to created its own separate space, isolating the Trident Owl from its natural habitat while also containing it.
The five dragons roared as they all flew in five different directions while spinning around the circular sphere. The Blackgold Python Tiger that could now see its enemy sent out ice particles inside the space little by little.
The Trident Owl felt the energy and moved around in the space while trying to get out, it flew in many directions and crashed against the separate space, as if there were an invisible wall keeping it imprisoned.
Even though he was confused, Wang Tao kept calm and used his mind to send orders to his partner. As for Ye Qin, his five dragons rotated around the space while emitting their dragon aura and also combined their energy.
The Yinglong stepped into the void and left the space before moving back in order to maintain the space. The Qiulong stopped time as it appeared inside the space and used its large body to choke the Trident Owl while biting its hard neck.
After struggling for a few seconds, it managed to leave a wound before leaving the space and turned back time, making it appear as though it had all happened instantly.
Shree!
The Trident Owl shrieked as wounds suddenly appeared on its body, the five dragons sent all their energy into the space along with the Blackgold Python Tiger, creating a large explosion that detonating as soon as it entered.
Boom!
Shree!
Even though the attacks were weak individually, the combined powers of six monsters were enough to cause some damage to it.
The Trident Owl flapped its wings before spinning its body like a drill and smashed against the glass-like space, its sharp beak continuously drilled against the space created by the Yinglong.
The five dragons and the Blackgold Python Tiger sent out a barrage of attacks, which didn't do any damage, rather the attacks were deflected due to the rotation of the owl.
Luckily, the space surrounding it stopped the attacks from backfiring.
Crack! Crack!
A crack appeared in the space where the Trident Owl was drilling into.
Crack! Crack!
The Qiulong stopped time and dived into the space, before coiling itself around the entire body of the Trident Owl. Before its power ran out, it threw itself away from the space and uncoiled itself before time flowed like normal.
Shree!
The Trident Owl that was being flung out of nowhere, cried before waving its wings that shot out a torrent of earth element attacks. It's body rotated in mid-air, while its large wings stopped it from being thrown before diving straight for the Qiulong.
Shree!
The Trident Owl dove straight into the Qiulong and stretched out its razor-sharp talons. The Qiulong adjusted itself in the air and formed a giant circle using its body in order to avoid the Trident Owl's attack.
Even as it passed through the loop, the Trident Owl shot out extremely hard metal-like feathers before turning around and continuing its attack.
The Yinglong toughened up the space and sealed the crack that was made by the Trident Owl. The Blackgold Python Tiger joined the fray as it entered the separate dimension created by the Yinglong.
Roar!
It created sharp icicle spears that canceled out the metal feathers that was heading for the Qiulong, while the dragon flew downward and used its dragon's breath.
The Trident Owl flew back to avoid the dragon's breath while stopping its endless feather attacks. While it had done so, the Qiulong continued its attack, while the Blackgold Python Tiger dove straight for the Trident Owl.
The wood dragon created a thick layer of walls on two sides that surrounded the Trident Owl, seeing this the Blackgold Python Tiger stopped its flight and supported the Qiulong.
Bam!
The earthen walls smashed together before changing into an egg-shaped cage. On top of that, vines grew out of it to strengthen the wall further. The Blackgold Python Tiger and the ice dragon froze the cage that trapped the owl inside.
The thunder dragon spewed out an electric web that stayed on top of the thick ice to add an extra layer to the trap.
The Qiulong stopped its attack as it paused in the air.
Pow! Pow!
Bam! Boom!
Within the egg-like cage, a loud pounding sound could be heard.
Pow! Pow!
The pounding sound could be heard clearer, with each and every hit. It was clear that the Trident Owl was attempting to break free from its birdcage.
Pow!
Crack!
The sound of something breaking could be heard clearly from within the huge space that surrounds Ye Qin and Wang Tao.
The eight monsters didn't move as they waited for the Trident Owl to break free. Once a small crack could be seen, the monsters separated as they prepared to attack.
Pow!
A hole appeared inside the birdcage, exposing the Trident Owl's left eye. The fire dragon spewed a flame breath right inside the hole in attempt to blind the owl.
Shree!
From the screech that could be heard, it was assumed that the flame attack was successful. The Trident Owl shrieked as it became enraged, and only smashed apart the cage containing it inside and flew outside.
Instantly, the eight monsters attacked at once. The Trident Owl screeched, which disrupted their attacks, sending them flying back.
The owl which was enraged stared at Ye Qin and Wang Tao.
Ye Qin and Wang Tao saw this and knew what was going to happen.
"Boss, it can't be right?" Wang Tao said.
"Err, I think it is..." Ye Qin replied.
"F*ck!" Wang Tao shouted as he and Ye Qin started running. Behind them, the Trident Owl flew towards them with its razor-sharp talons, ready to puncture their bodies full of holes.
Inside the space, there wasn't much space to find good footing on, they were sprinting as fast as they could, while the wood dragon created a ground for them to run on while creating thick walls that blocked the owl.
Roar!
Ye Qin and Wang Tao continued running, as the Qiulong and Yinglong moved. The Yinglong entered the void, and appeared behind the two brothers in an instant, and used its huge body to protect its master.
The Qiulong froze time, as it flew towards the Trident Owl. Within those few instances, it attacked the Trident Owl using its tail, claws, and teeth, hundreds of times as time returned to normal.
When time flowed as it should have, tearing wounds appeared on the Trident Owl's body, as well as donut-shaped clouds and pounding sounds as if someone was pounding a drum.
Ye Qin and Wang Tao managed to escape from the eyes of the owl thanks to the dragon. Wiping their sweat, they stood further away from the battlefield.
The Trident Owl shrieked as tearing wounds appeared on its body, with small drops of blood dripping from each of its wounds, while its plate-like armor was pounded until they broke.
Since it was blocked from harming the humans, the Trident Owl shrieked as it flew to the surface.
Whoosh!
The Trident Owl went straight through a tunnel that it had appeared at first. The six dragons and Blackgold Python Tiger followed closely behind it while attacking its rear side.
Ye Qin and Wang Tao jumped on the Qiulong's back and followed suit. Sitting on the dragon, Wang Tao thought, "Whew, these scales feel pretty nice, contrary to what I thought, they are as smooth as jade and are comfortable to sit on."
Whoosh! Whoosh!
The Trident Owl used its wings to destroy parts of the tunnel, in order to slow down the monsters chasing it. The tunnel started collapsing as the monsters flew straight through the boulders and debris as if they were never there in the first place.
Whoosh!
The Trident Owl, which was the first to enter the tunnel was the first to arrive above ground and took flight in the air. Once it had done so, it turned around and sent out a torrent of metal and earth type feathers inside the tunnel.
