"It felt like weeks ago but, it was only yesterday" Xander stated. "Even though it seemed fake it was all real, my parents died and I'm the last living person in the Togan bloodline."
"Xander doesn't know how to deal with this. He never lost anyone special to him." Geralt thought. "I saved him, but he probably thinks that it would've been better if he was burned alive too."
"Geralt" Xander asked "Why did you save me?" The question caught Geralt off-guard, but with a quick reaction he told him the truth.
"You are the royal prince and it would be sad to see the person I'm assigned to protect died. I would've failed my duty, as your knight."
