Chapter 1: The Beginning
When Jude Heartfillia and Layla Heartfilia found out they were going to be parents, they couldn't be happier. They thought they couldn't have kids, with Layla being a fairy and Jude a dragon,and with them not being able to be with anyone other than their own species, let alone having babies with one that isn't their own.They have been trying for hundreds of years, and they have lost hope, but finding out they are pregnant they were over the moon. Even if they were happy, they didn't know how this was possible, when all the doctors they have gone too, have said the same thing.All the doctors have said "there is no way, you can have children with you being a dragon and her a fairy",they wondered together.They had the doctor check a couple of times just to be positive, that they were in fact having a baby.
Layla turned to Jude, and looked into his eyes and couldn't express her joy and amazement with just a couple of words, so they just looked at each other and knew that what they needed to say was already said. While they enjoyed that moment; the doctor excused himself.Jude has many words he wants to say, yet it seems like talking will make it seem like a dream, and once he opens his mouth and let's out a sound he will wake up, and instead of it being a dream come true it will be a nightmare haunting and taunting it him again.
Layla noticed Jude's silence, and figured out why he is so quite, yet trembling with happiness that he can't seem to stop smiling even though he was looking down on the ground,and holding his fist in a hard grip she knew it was his way of not giving into to this amazing day and to protect himself from whatever demons taunt him at night.
Layla took a deep breath and exhaled than turned to look at her husband and spoke, "Jude, you know that this not a dream right?" Jude looked at her and his grin got bigger and bigger, and couldn't help but have tears well up in his eyes; and hugged his wife with such passion and love, it couldn't be described by words.
"Layla we're going to be parents, can you believe it?" Jude asked with such conviction.
She looked at him in the eyes while she was still in his embrace and smiled and told him that "I knew we would be parents, it doesn't matter what all those doctors said if we held to our believe's we would soon become parents", she said and than added " and look we are going to be parents in seven months.
"I didn't want to believe this was a trick played by our desperation for a child and or that is it a dream, but we will be parents soon,Layla you have made me the happiest man in the world."
They didn't stop embracing for a long time to come.

Maymun Hey guys, I came up with the inspiration for this story two weeks ago, but went through a lot of anxiety, because I was nervous about putting my stories out in the world. But since I can't find a story about Jude being the father I think he could be and Layla being there for Lucy while she grew up, and Mavis being a Lucy's sister,
