Chapter 16: Some subtleties of the language

Another interesting question, language features and suggestions ... in different languages. In Russian, for example, there is a saying "A and B were sitting on the pipe, A was lost, B was lost, who was left to sit on it?". There is the same thing in English, probably something ... But literally, the meaning is lost as in Russian "I" translates into English as "and" ... and the meaning eludes readers ... Like the standard the expression English "dot the I and" but in Russian there is no dot above the "I" ... in our language, for example, there is such a saying "good wish is half the world", but when it sounds in the native language, everyone understands what it is about In English, its symlovaya load is lost.

Of course, a lot depends on the translator's talent, how he will be able to understand the main meaning of the text, the context ... if he can translate correctly without losing the meaning.

Therefore, it sometimes happens that the work of a translator is actually the second version of the author's new book.

We are familiar with the majority of classical literature of the 19th and 20th centuries not to mention the Greek and Roman authors thanks to the translations. But as a matter of fact these are already completely different books, and not everyone can read in the original source. So how can you know well - a spoken language, but not good to know literary. And writing in a spoken language is probably already a moveton. Although in the 21st century, standards are erased. As Europe and the Western world abandoned the biblical commandments, the rest of the world, following Western fashion, abandons the traditional values of man, morality and ethics. So now those old notions about the norms of writing texts are slowly becoming a thing of the past.

Then I remembered another Russian phraseological unit - the replacement of abusive words with more neutral words so that they could be used on the net. As for example, the "scribe" signifying the end or surprise, such as Vov, is only more emotionally expressed.

No less interesting is the question of the coverage of certain events, in each empire and their colonies it is different from others. The world through the eyes of the western version, the world through the eyes of the eastern version - Asian and European, it is different, with its ideological features. Probably other continents have their own views on the same facts.

It would be nice to be able to be objective and evaluate facts and events from different points of view. And not just one. But usually, who tries to be objective they get cuffs from both the right and the left. As an objective assessment, it stands aside from ideologically processed.

What is interesting is the ideological treatment is in the western world and the east. Just in the real, it is more professionally executed. Called marketing and PR)))
