Chapter 23: Confession 3
"Where is Allison?"
Seeing Max coming back alone Lydia couldn't help but ask. Max spent more than ten minutes searching for Allison. that time enough to cover half of the school ground. yet he came back empty-handed.
"She went back home" Max sat beside Lydia " She was feeling a little unwell, so she told me she is going back"
Max spoke the truth. after Allison kissed him by surprise, she also took initiative to apologize. even though Max too didn't stay ideal while they having a moment. however, Allison must have felt guilty to face her best friend. so she storms off telling him she is going back home for the rest of the day.
He unconsciously touched his lips remembering the hot kiss. Max had to say, Allison has a totally different flavor than Lydia. moreover, Allison is good at kissing, same as Lydia.
"What are you thinking? eat" Lydia noticed since the moment he came back he started to space out.
"What with you? did something happen?"
Max looked straight into Lydia's beautiful eyes. suddenly he felt a sense of guilt and helplessness. he liked both girls yet now Max realizes he really loved Lydia. he decided to tell Lydia about the whole incident.
"No, nothing is wrong. I have something to tell you"
"What is it?"
"Sigh...when I found the Allison she was crying inside........."
Max narrated down every single detail happen inside the Storage room. when he told her that Allison kissed him, Max clearly heard Lydia's heart quickening.
A long time passed Lydia deep in thoughts. cafeteria became empty, only one or two students remain. Max didn't talk any further, he let Lydia make her own a decision. although he believed Lydia doesn't think much about those things, this isn't the TV Series. this is real life, not a script.
"So...do you like her?"
Lydia looked straight into Max's eyes before asking him the most serious question. Max didn't break the eye contact, he then answered truthfully.
"Well...I like her" Max was sure he heard Lydia's heart skipping a beat. however, he has to tell what he has to tell "But I think I Love you more than anything"
When Max said he loves her, Lydia froze. this is the first time someone told her, he loves her. she even forgot how to react properly.
"It is true, I love you" Max understood Lydia having a hard time to process. in TV series she was the one who always loved others. however, Lydia never received what she deserved.
First Jackson broke up and left her to Landon. then came Aiden but unfortunately he died alone with Allison. of course, Stiles loved her unconditionally but it was too late. by the time Lydia already closed her heart shut.
This time Max here to fill her heart.
Max slowly touched her chin turning her face toward him. then he brought his lips toward Lydia kissing her tenderly.
At first, Lydia didn't respond to him. she just stayed passive. however, Max didn't stop kissing. he kissed her more passionately as if trying to weak up Lydia from her daze.
Soon he succeeded, Max felt the taste of warm tear in his mouth. he wanted to stop her crying and decide to separate from Lydia. however, suddenly Lydia put her arms around his neck and took lead to a more passionate kiss.
This last for several minutes before two lovers decided to take a breath.
"I love you too"
Soon as their eyes lock into each other Lydia declared emotionally. her eyes still filled with tears but she smiled beautifully.
Max smiled without saying anything. he wiped away threatening tears in Lydia's eyes.
"So you not mad about me kissing Allison?"
After both of them calmed down somewhat Max peered at Lydia carefully. now since both cleared their feeling Max decided to know Lydia's thoughts.
"Hmm! I always knew Scott was no good. but if she has some thought about my boyfriend we have to talk. as for you, liking her, I don't mind. I will never let you go"
When Max saw Lydia's smile and manner of speaking, he felt as if she changed somewhat. however, the change wasn't too noticeable. Max thought what would happen if two girls came to an agreement to share him. both becoming his wives. that would be a dream fulfilling moment.
'If I meet the old man God again I should ask for polygamy. but I don't think I will meet him ever again'
Max shook his head and stopped thinking about some alternate reality scenario. in his previous life, Max was a huge Harem fan. and Harem was every man's ultimate dream, even if it's only two girls. but he might never be able to achieve his greatest dream ever. so removing those thoughts are the best option. unlike in past life, in this life, Max has a girl he decided to spend his life forever, that along consider as achieving his dream.
"Alright! so are we still going double date or only us two?"
"Of course, it's a double date, I will talk to Allison"
Lydia replied Max as if everything under her control.

"Why hasn't it healed?"
"I don't think it will"
Working hard for a day and a half Scott and Stiles finally managed rescue, Derek. however, it wasn't without a cost. Scott and Derek had to face long lines of Hunters with guns and bows.
Most of them were still manageable but out of nowhere, Kate Argent join the fun. she had almost a hundred percent accuracy even at such a distance. but she only shot once which aimed to Scott.
However, Derek took the bullet instead of Scott. eventually, Stiles came saving the day with his jeep.
Despite rescue being successful, Derek's wound he got from Kate doesn't seem to be healing. it's getting worse as time pass.
"What should we do? we have to treat it somehow"
Scott said while helping Derek to sit down. although bullet only pierced Derek's arm and already removed from the wound it spreading fast into his body.
"It's the True Wolfbane, it won't stop unless you find the same type of wolfbane and then burn it off. poison against the poison"
Derek said weakly as he felt wolfbane slowly consuming his power.
"I thought you kept wolfbane here, if not we can found it in the forest"
Stiles couldn't look at the wounds. so he stayed back. but seeing a problem arise decided to join in.
"No idiot, didn't I say it's true wolfbane? normal wolfbanes are purple while this particular one is yellow, very rare. in 24 hours I will be dead even an Alpha might suffer."
"So what happens now?" Scott asked since he couldn't find any solution for Derek condition.
"We have two options," Derek said weakly but seriously "One is you two knuckleheads go back and steal bullet from Kate Argent"
"What the second?" not wanting to experience hell once again Scott asked for a second option. from sidelines, Stiles agreed to his best friend.
"The second option is to remove my arm before the poison spread into the whole body," Derek said without changing expressions.
"What?! that's not an option that just gambit" Screamed Scott strongly opposed the idea of severing arm.
"Then what?! huh!? are you going back to steal wolfbane from that crazy bitch? maybe she already knows you the second beta. you can say goodbye to your head while you at it"
The pain made Derek somewhat angry. he too didn't want to remove his arm but he couldn't send Scott to his doom.
"I will go, you have 24 hours. I will figure something out" Scott said strongly. he knew Kate didn't actually saw him, the only outline. so if he didn't act suspicious everything will be fine.
"Hey guys" Stiles watched the whole thing and decide to speak.
"What!!??" both Derek and Scott turn to glare at him.
"Or...we can go with the third option"
"What is that?" not knowing what his friend is talking about Scott asked curiously.
"We can ask help from an Alpha," Stiles said grinning ear to ear.
"What makes you think Peter would help us? even if he does help, he will ask me and him to join his pack"
Derek denied Stiles idea without even thinking twice. even if he dies from this Peter is his enemy. and nothing could change that.
"He is not talking about that Alpha" Scott understood what Stiles talking about. what Stiles said was true maybe he could help them. Scott had a tiny bit of confidence.
"He is talking about White Alpha and you already met him," Scott said looking at confused Derek "Stiles, call him"
