Chapter 3: 3. New Self
5 years is a long time
That is how long the training for Cho is, training in the mountains surrounded by forests and swamps, while training Master Li and Cho stayed in a hut, only enough to sleep for both of them,and as of today he has mastered all of Master Li's skills
"Cho, on this day five years ago, you began your training, you didn't quit, that is quite impressive, I can't believe the bot five years ago is you"
Cho's body is now different, his shoulders are broader than usual his bicep and triceps are strong also his abdomen got an eight pack of muscles, his body got scars, many scars, his training with Master Li gave it to him, and as he grow older and clean face he is rather handsome now, every time he jogs, girls would start looking at him, even ladies start to look at him, well he is now 18 years old so he looks like a college student or 3rd year of high school,
"Cho my boy, there is nothing i can teach you, now go and have a life , you've done your training well, i'm proud of you,"
"Thank you Master, I couldn't done it withou you"
"Now go young one, go and set for the world, a long journey is ahead of you"
"I will return master"
"No need, here on this forest is where i plan to settle down for, my days are over, now i must be at peace,"
"As you wish master"
"Oh and by the way, here", Li hand Cho a piece of paper, it's folded, Cho opens the paper ,"Cho, Open it when your out of here, don't open it here now go"
"I will master"
"Cho, don't catch a cold while your out there"
"Yes master", at first Cho didn't mind what his master told him, as soon as he is out of the hut he opens the letter, it says:
DEAR CHO
I KNOW MY TRAINING IS NOT EASY , YET IT MADE YOU STRONG, I'M SURE YOUR HAPPY THAT IT ENDED, YOU DON'T HAVE TO WAKE UP OF ME SNORING, OR I PUSHED YOU DOWN A CLIFF THAT TIME ,EVEN WHEN I TRIED POISONING YOU USING ALL OF POISONS I COULD THINK OF, STILL YOU SURVIVED, SUSAN MUST BE PROUD OF YOU NOW
"The hell, it's just some sh*tty writings, that damned old man" then he continued reading
BY THE TIME YOUR READING THIS, I MIGHT BE NOT THERE WITH YOU, IT HAPPENED 3 MONTHS AGO WHEN I SAVED YOU FROM THAT COBRA AND AN ELEPHANT, TRYING TO KILL YOU, THE ELEPHANT SMASHED MY RIBS AND PIERCED MY LUNGS, AND THE COBRA VENOM GOT ME, IM ON DEATHS DOORWAY, YET EVERYTIME I SAW YOU MY WILL TO LIVE, I CAN'T DIE HERE, NOT NOW, WHEN YOUR TRAINING IS NOT COMPLETE , SO I TRIED EVERYTHING, TO PROLONG MY LIFE TO BE EXACTLY THE TIME WHEN I LET YOU GO,IM SO PROUD OF YOU, MY SON"
Cho didn't realize that he began to cry, He can't stop his tears, He then ran back to the hut and found his lifeless teacher lying on that bed, He cried for all he can, then he buried his teacher and build a gravestone, to remember him, then he wrote soemthing, that something is :
"Here lies, Master Li, A man,A master, A Father"
He was the closest of being Cho's father, yet now Cho is a true orphan, he decided to travel to Jakarta city.
When he arrived, He tried to find a job, and a place to stay , as soon as he got to the city a lot of city girls were staring at him, wondering is he a supermodel or soemthing?, Cho shrugged off those stares as he thought they were just staring at him because he's not from the city.
He stopped at a Gym, the gym's name is "Greg's Gym", he walked in and he saw something he has never seen before, people training using technologies, he trained using traditional style, punching trees until his fingers bleed, running from wild animals, jogging while carrying a large boulder, and of course hand-to-hand combat with a gorilla.
"You looking for something?" A bulky man approached while staring at Cho, "want to join in?"
"No, actually i'm just looking around, besides i have no money" Cho Answered
"You seem pretty strong how about a match with me"
"I can't fight with only my arms, this is boxing right?"
"You can use anything except weapons, come on, 1 or 2 rounds"
"Okay, what if i win? And what if i lose?"
"You won, you can have the seat as Greg's Gym representation fighter, if you lose, you have to train here, good enough?"
"Representation fighter?" Cho wonders what does that mean?
"There's a championship coming aroung the corner, winner takes all, the prize pool is 500 million cash"
Cho immediately agrees as he doesn't have any money and need one badly.
The bulky guy and Cho step in to the ring, The bulky guy wears a boxing glove and head guard, cause why the hell not, it's sparring anyway, Cho only wears regular clothes, a sportswear pants and shirt
"Go easy on me", Cho smiled while saying that
"Don't push your luck kid"The bulky guy asnwered
"Hey, is Jackson fighting a new kid?,"
"Yep, i heard they made a bet"
"The winner is decided"
"Sure"
Two man are talking to each other
TING!!
The bell rang and so the match begins
Jackson starts with a punch to Cho
However what Cho thinks is
"How is this punch so slow?"
Cho easily and effortlessly evaded that punch, Jackson keeps punching faster and stronger, but Cho evaded them all, the crowd that was training stop to see the match,
the match of the gym's representative for the Tournament against a newbie from somewhere they don't know of
"The hell is this kid?, he won't counter me, yet he dodged all of my punches"
Cho then takes a deep breath and launch a left hook that stunned Jackson, it was a heavy hook, and Cho launches a spinning back kick and knocking Jackson unconscious, he got knocked out, Cho won his first match, the crowd went silent as this goes on, and a man came and said
"well played, how about being the gym's fighter, you'll be paid handsomely"
Without a doubt Cho agrees as he needed money desperately to survive.
"I'll be your fighter, Mr. Umm who?"
"It's Tad, Tad Dickson"
