Chapter 4: The Work Begins
Morning has come and the sun is lighting a bedroom with light. If one was to look at the bed, they would see a boy in extreme discomfort and a tomboy looking like she's in heaven. The boy wakes up to feel paralyzed by his tails and feels annoyance build up only to have no way to let it out. A few minutes later the tomboy wakes from heavenly slumber and yawns from the great sleep she got.
"Why are you in my bed?"Sam ask with an annoyed tone. "I don't know, I was dreaming about fluffy stuff then I found myself here"Unnamed Tomboy said.
"I keep forgetting you need a name, how about Pearl since I can't think of anything else"said Sam in a tired voice. "Sure it's nice but I wish you had at least put more time into thinking about it." said the newly named Pearl.
"I couldn't really care,since your the reason I had a night and how is there light from the window."Sam yelled. He then walked to the window to see Earth in all it's beauty,but he couldn't find the moon and wondered where it was. Pearl then spoke up and said that the moon is on the other side of the pocket dimensions. Samuel found out later that they were rotating around the Earth like the moon but we move around faster. Also being closer to the earth and invisible to anyone unauthorized to it.
Samuel and Pearl left the room dressed and found the Admin in a courtyard that made it seem like the 'HQ' was a mass of land is just floating in space with everything on it.
{AN:I am calling the 'massive floating island' with everything needed on it, 'HQ'}
The Admin drank some tea and looked Samuel's direction. "I see you two have woken up. I was enjoying some tea and the view.Wanna join me?" The Admin said, going back to his tea after the offer. "Sorry but I'm not a tea person. I prefer some milk and cereal in the morning." Samuel said
"Besides that, your hair and eyes are weird. They keep changing. Your eyes change to random shapes every time you blink, while your red & blue hair slowly change patterns." Pearl cut in
Sam walked to the pond in the courtyard and saw what she meant and thought it was cool.
"Well then that's cool, but we need to continue from yesterday."(Sam)
"Okay, then I will guess you already figured out where your HQ is when you looked out the window. I will continue in other stuff you need to know and the rest you will figure it out."(Admin)
"I will explain my purpose myself later,so you can skip that part Admin"(Pearl)
"Okay, I will than explain the last thing I can since Pearl's purpose was the main topic I was gonna tell you. Every Admin can select 3 agents on each world you look over and can grant them 1 wish that doesn't exceed your power. I also completely forgot to mention there are other Admins but the number of us left are low compared to anything else. There are at least half a million left and it is slowly getting smaller.....And because why not this is the reason Administrator made assistants."(Admin)
"Hey, I wanted to tell him!"(Pearl)
"That's a lot of information but how do I start working."Sam said as he finally got to speak.
"Ah yeah you will watch over two worlds to begin with.Your World and one of your choice."(Admin)
"I will choose the world of Remnant as my second!"Sam yelled excited.
"*SIGH* You young people these days really like choosing the most popular ones you know of, yet here you are wanting to choose the one everyone forgot because of Marvel and DC." the Admin made an face going between annoyed,worry and proud for reasons only he knew.
The Admin then began to stand up and said " I will leave now since all I can say is said and Pearl will explain the rest about herself and the assistants."
With that said he walked over to the edge and took another step to end up in a portal with a wood cabin and a women on the other side. The portal closed after the old admin turned around and waved good bye.
Silence filled the courtyard and Samuel stood up sudden from the chair he was on. He walked to the door and started exploring the entire island HQ. He had fun finding a dorm for people, an outdoor bath with him getting the male side mostly to himself for now. He also found a massive cafeteria and store/warehouse. There were other entertainment buildings but they were empty until more people were here.
The finally place Sam found was his office. It looked like a massive CEO office but with a few added bits and colors. The main color was obviously red and blue ,and there were two rooms. The much smaller room was a complete bathroom for the owner of the office and the larger room was a big meeting room for meetings.
"I am loving this place,but without any people it's kinda creepy with only us two." Sam said after sitting in his chair of his desk.
"Well yeah that is true, I will now explain my purpose and the other assistants. I am your personal assistant/body guard, I am more of a secretary than an assistant but 'assistant' is just a name for us and not our job description. The other 'employees' as I want to call them, are what keeps this place running and working. Higher ranked employees can be assigned to watch over a world in your place since you can't be everywhere at once. I'm what would be considered your second in command for the employees. Now for the agents, they are people from the worlds you are looking after. You can think of them as the chosen ones but your the one who chose them. As the Admin said you can chose 3 a world and they can lose their position if they go against you. The reward from the 'Chosen' is 1 wish that doesn't exceed your ability. I will help you in letting you know if you are able to fulfill it."
Pearl said after explaining a LOT in one mostly-easy to understand speech.
"I hate info dumps but I now see why they happen so often." Sam said as a pile of paper were being put on his desk
"I need you to fill out these simple approvement papers and then you will fill out a form for what kind of employees you want." Pearl said with evil grin.
After what felt like forever, Sam finally got to the last paper for his employees. He kept it simple and only wanted them to be Kind and social. Anything else was fine as long as they didn't do or have a natural outside his morals. Like wanting to hurt someone for entertainment and being racist.
At the end of the day, Sam went back to his room and made sure to lock the door before sleeping.
