The rest of their once vast and mighty army had been hunted down and slaughtered by the forces of the Dragon Emperor, or those who wanted to use them to test their own might for the upcoming tournament. The worst ones though, had been the 'monsters'.

"They only drove us into such a corner because the Dragon Emperor and his 'pets' caught us by surprise. Now we know better, now we can make a plan. The first thing we need to do is recruit some new blood, stretch the scouters as much as possible! Find us some new recruits!" Though they knew there was next to no chance of this working, and that they were all either going to die or waste away at the edges of the universe, the men following Sorbert followed his command as it was the only course of action left for them.
For days they kept the scouters active as the scoured the edges of the universe for any sign of someone who was strong enough for them to recruit, but as time wore on their standards sank lower and lower, until they were even willing to take in something with enough strength to hold a mop.

Moving at several thousand times the speed of light, they were able to trace the source of the extremely high power level quickly, which led them to a massive hyper giant star that appeared to be tens of thousands times larger than a typical star.
"I can't detect any habitable planets, moons, or any other terrestrial bodies near this star. There's no place for a person to hide here."
