Chapter 1: Meeting you
I'm about to be late for my first day of my new job today! I didn't even think twice about brushing my teeth or if my hair looked fine, I just ran out the door like if my life depended on it. Which really it did, I mean its only my first day of my new job... I ran towards my car and drove as fast as I could. As soon as I got out of my car when I got there, all I could see is a big tall building with huge letters on the right corner of the tall building, LCSC standing for Life Changing Styles Company. It's one of the top five best selling companies in the country!
I was surprised that they accepted my job application the next day after I applied for it. I applied for being the CEO's Assistant, I know it's a lot to handle but i'm willing to work hard to keep up with whatever the CEO tells me to do.
I really need this job, to help out pay off loans and debts that my father has. I just don't want my dad to worry about them anymore. I'll do anything to make my dad stop worrying about it. I need to stop day dreaming and head inside before i'm even more late than I already am!
Before I opened the main door entrance, I breathed in and walked inside. I ran towards the elevator and as soon as the doors of the elevator opened i rushed inside pressed on the top floor. It was choatic, people were coming in and out from all floors. I sighed as I reached my floor. I walked out and as I was walking, a hand landed on my shoulder. I turned around so fast.
"Hello, you must be the CEO's new assistant!", the guy said. He looked like he was in his 20's. "And sorry I didn't mean to scartle you", he laughed.
"Its fine", I said shyly.
"I'm sorry! It's so rude of me! My name is Cole Green", he said as he extended his arm.
Shaking his hand I said," I'm Jamie Miller, it's nice to meet you Mr.Green".
"Just call me Cole", he said. "follow me, i'll show where your desk i", he said as I followed him down the hall.
As we were walking, he told me about the rule book and that I should read everything and not leave anything out. And how the CEO is a vary busy man, I can only imagine how many hours of sleep he gets sense he has this huge company to keep track of and improve.
When we arrived at my new desk, he gave me a slight tour of my new desk.
He pointed at the two computers on the desk, "these computers right here will keep you alive, trust me", he said with a serious tone.
I just nodded my head to show him i understand. But really I didn't really understand what he meant.
As he was explaining to me about how i should be dressing everyday, and that how i looked right now is not acceptable and he will only excuse this incident just this once sense it's my first day on the job, he looked behind me and bowed down," Good morning CEO Joon, how is your morning".
As i turned, all i could see was a tall handsome man with his jet black hair gelled back in a black suit walking towards my direction. His eyes were as brown as hot chocolate. And his lips, looking very soft and with a slight pink flush on his bottom lip. He stopped just one meter in front of me, with his head straight and his eyes looking down on me. It was like he was waiting for me to do something, I was confused on what he wanted me to do. Cole whispered to me and told me to bow down and greet him good morning.
I stumbled a little as he made me realize that that was what he was waiting for. I bowed down and greeted him good morning, "Good morning young CEO... I'm your new assistant and I will work hard to keep up with any-"
"Stop", he said with an unreadable face as he raised his hand to show me to stop as i looked up. All he needed was to say one word and it would silence the whole room. He walked passed me and entered his office. Slamming the door behind him causing the silence to break.
"What's his problem?",i asked.
"He is always like that",Cole said. "But don't let that bother you.", he smiled.
I smiled back. Oh boy, this is going to be a hard life for me starting today.
