Chapter 3: A cheater in the making 2
He then slowly stretched and looked at the giant.
"I don't know who you are but just let me pass and I took a liking to that big block of rock so let him go already!"
He yelled out but he was only met with silence.
-guess I got no choice....-
He then walked towards the giant slowly at first but then sped up into a full sprint.
The giant seeing this,it prepared 4 new blades and walked ran towards Edward prepared to end the one in front of him.
Edward was only a few feet away from him and took something from inside his vest and when the giant swung the blade he pressed the button.
Boom!
A loud explosion echoed and with a thud the giant kneeled and dived towards the ground as one of his legs was gone and only left with a stump.
After a few seconds a red glow formed around the leg and started to regenerate and from a new one but before it did another explosion happened.
boom! boom! boom!
But it wasn't just one explosion but a series of smaller ones.
"Guess I was lucky, I didn't need to use all of the explosives back when I hunted Giovanni....guess I owe Vlad some thanks"
He talked as he jumped on the destroyed leg and made his way up towards the back of the giant where he saw a hole and peeked inside.
The explosives he used were supposed to be used against Giovanni's group but he was met with the bodyguards before he set the rest, leaving it with him.
-I got 15 secs before he closes up but he said something about a core inside him and the book also had told me about it-
As he entered the ominous hole, he felt a stinging sensation coming, felt like static at first but soon grew to a splitting head ache as if something was pinching his head.
"Fck! It hurts so bad!!!!!!"
Edward swore as he paused, the pain kept getting stronger, and soon a voice was heard.
"You will die..... submit and I will grant you what you seek"
A voice both soothing and commanding appeared inside his head.
"Submit and I will grant you-"
But was interrupted, when a blue light orb suddenly shot towards Edward's head.
"YOU SHALL NOT DEFY THIS SACRED GROUND!!!!"
A grumpy yet steadfast voice appeared amidst he pain and chaos, it cleared his head.
The process seemed so long but only a handful of seconds passed.
The hole slowly fixed itself and as it was about to completely heal, a figure jumped out before the hole repaired itself making him jump from about 20 ft and made him roll to stop some impact but not all of it as shards of rocks were scattered on the ground.
His whole body had scratches and his right arm was still wounded from earlier now his clothes were covered with dust and had a few rips in them, but the most shocking thing was his face, bleeding from all of his orifices.
With a roar, the giant rose from the ground and its face slowly reformed and started to begin his assault on Edward once again.
He ran towards the middle of the room with the guardian in tow dodging blade strikes that was aimed at him. All the blades were inches away from slicing him in half, but with little to no breathing space, he dodged.
Panting and bleeding he ran, as the giant neared him once more to deliver a blow, the giant slowed down and his strikes became fewer until a loud thud was heard behind him.
With a smile, he spun on his heel and stared at the giant that laid behind him and it's head staring at him as it stretched its hands trying to grab the pesky white haired ghost, but it was futile as its hand dropped towards the ground.
Flopping to he ground he breathed in a weird pattern as his wounds slowly closed up.
After a few minutes, he casually walked towards the giants head and glared towards the red eyes that were losing its glow and in his hands was an Azure blue crystal about 7 inches long.
He smirked as he showed his bloodstained teeth, while juggling the crystal in his hand.
"Try harder next time alright?"
The red glow vanished and left the giant and slowly the rocks started to turn to dust.
"You've been relieved of your duty Aretzal...."
He said with a slight hint of sadness.
The crystal that was powering the powerful guardian was now being mindlessly juggled by him.
-guess without this he'll turn to dust...I still wanted to play around with him and maybe have him as an underling..*sigh....*-
He sighed
"I would have wanted to just run at full speed towards the portal,but it's not every day you get to fight with a guardian and I needed to see if I can defeat it....but still damn my arm hurts...."
He mumbled as he saw a large stone shard was protruding from his left arm.
As he was speaking a chime came and a new window appeared.

With a sigh, he walked towards the portals and placed the crystal in a pocket inside his vest.
-Deterred? Well, I guess I don't even have a bloody level yet so I can't say anything but I almost died and had to use explosives to kill that thing and all I get is a shiny light bulb.....well maybe I can find a way to use it still I was hoping for at least a single weapon-
He shook his head and walked towards the door that the fallen guardian left.

As he passed the giant double doors he was welcome with a chime and a message
NOTICE:
-You have entered the chambers of the trials you cannot leave until you finish every trial. Your reward will be given based on your performance and your god.-
He sat down next to a wall removed his clothes and cleaned his wounds with a handkerchief.
He then gripped the shard that was embedded in his left arm, he breathed in and then with a shout, pulled it out and blood rushed out
"kek...ahhhh I'm getting soft...it didn't even went that deep..now other parts...."
He removed some shards here and there and ripped some parts of his shirt to bandage his wounds and after he patched himself up, he rested for a while.
Edward kept glancing at the portals in front of him and can't contain his excitement as he stared at the portal.
"Finally....after a short rest I'll take the first one....and luckily It will be a walk in the park.."
He the chuckled and sighed and shook his head.
"yeah,right...."
He then closed his eyes and tried to relax.
