Chapter 51: Never knock on Madam or Sir's door

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Ronnie and Jayne were startled. Jayne pushed him off herself and got up. So Ronnie ended up falling down. She tried hard not to laugh.

" Butler, you are so dead!" Ronnie rubbed his butt and uttered through gritted teeth.

Jayne burst out laughing. When Ronnie tried to get hold of her, she slipped away from his hands like a slimy fish in water. She stuck out her tongue to tease him.

The knock at the door continued.

So he said, "You wait. I'll first screw the butler and be right back." A vein popped out in his neck.

Jayne ran and hid herself behind the couch. She knew she'd provoked the lion. She was bound to face the consequences.

Ronnie scurried towards the door and opened it with a fuming face.

The butler who was totally unaware of what was happening inside was patiently waiting for his master to open the door. ' Sir, never takes so long to open the door. What's holding him back? Is something wrong? Even madam is missing. Should I inform Assistant Daniel West-'

The butler snapped back from his thoughts when he heard the sound of the door opening. He didn't give his master a chance to speak and began speaking,  "Sir, are you alright? Even madam is not to be seen anywhere. I sent Sarah to her room to bring her down for dinner. But she came back saying Madam was not to be found in her room."

The butler's expression turned worried.

He continued further, "So I hurriedly sent everyone to look around the mansion. But Madam was not to be found anywhere. So I hurriedly came to inform you about it. It worried me that even you were taking so long to open the door and-"

Ronnie interrupted his non stop ranting, "She's with me." He closed the door on the butler's face.

Butler, "....."

Ronnie opened the door again and warned the butler, "Don't ever knock on my door or her door. We'll be coming down for dinner." He again slammed the door hard on the butler.

Butler, "...."

He remained motionless for sometime and snapped back to reality, "What in the world happened just now? Did I get worried for no reason? And what did I hear? Madam is with Sir in his room?" he hurriedly walked back to the kitchen.

He announced, Madam and Sir are fine. They'll be coming downstairs for dinner. All of you get the dishes to the dining table. And yes, the most important instruction NEVER KNOCK ON MADAM OR SIR'S DOOR!"

The others understood everything and began bringing the dishes to the table. It was only the chubby butler who was totally confused on his Sir's behaviour.

Inside Ronnie's room, Jayne who was hiding behind the coach heard everything that happened between them. Her face turned red with shame now.

Ronnie knew where exactly she was hiding. He went up to her from behind her and softly planted a kiss at the nape of her neck.

Jayne jolted from her position and fell back into his arms. She buried her face in his chest. Ronnie lovingly caressed her hair and was grinning at her reaction.

Somehow Jayne had grown very comfortable with Ronnie and after burying herself in his chest, she always felt like coming back home. She felt very secure every moment she was with him. Since she'd totally forgotten everything about her previous life, Ronnie was the only person she knew and she could trust on. But did she really love him? She had no answers yet.

She hugged him tighter.
