Chapter 9: First Day of Anguish (Tony's point of view)

Waking up in his home to see her empty side of the bed Tony could only clench his teeth. A he had no friends so no one in town would be willing to help her. All his thoughts moved to anybody she might have known in the past. 'Andrew! She met him in college maybe she went to him for help. No! Alison didn't know his name back then how could she know he was the towns lawyer. Plus his fiancee just came into town I doubt she would allow someone like Alison around him.'

Standing up he walked to the bathroom to wash his face.staring at her side of the counter he couldn't help but remember all the times he came in to watch her moisturize her face and apply a simple make up. She never went heavy with the make up. Just enough to enhance her beauty and warm his heart. When he was home he would always brush her hair and style it for her he even made her promise not to cut it.

'Why am I not enough? What does that man do for her that I don't? Sure I took my anger out a time or two but if not how would she know I truly loved her?'

Not aware of how crazy those thoughts were he made his way to the kitchen. Seeing the spotless counters and the glistening floors he knew she had recently polished the tile to keep it beautiful. Alison always kept their home up to perfection for him. It was something he never noticed before. Seeing it now his heart ached. He remembered their first few months here.

"Tony look at the counters! We will have room to host parties for your work now. Maybe I should take some culinary classes so that I can make better dishes. What do you think baby?"

"Do what you want sweetie I will always support you. Come here you have something in your hair." Watching her walk his way his heart was pounding faster. As soon as she was in front of him he pulled her closer. Leaning in he bit her lower lip and started whispering in her ears. "I am glad you like your new home cause from now on I will make sure you never want to leave."

Those memories were what made him keep going up to a few years ago when she miscarried his son. Starting the coffee pot he looked at the note she left behind. Tears started to come up remembering their trips to get groceries together. He never understood why him going with her made her so happy.

'Is it normal for something that simple to make a woman happy?'

Moving to the fridge he grabbed the eggs and bacon to prepare his breakfast. As he mixed the eggs and started the bacon frying he poured a cup of coffee. Trying to hold the tears in he kept remembering all the things she done for him over the years. She even learned to cook five star meals for him. The effort she put in to make him happy always pleased him. Still he couldn't bring himself to fully trust Alison with his heart. After watching his parents fight day in and out as a child he knew women didn't want to be happy. According to his father women only existed to give them sons.

Tony's mom had committed suicide when he was seven due to the constant abuse. After that no other woman came into his father's life. "Son never treat a woman as your equal. It makes them have a big head gives them ideas of being superior to us men. Outside of your home remember to have a few women to replace any lousy woman that can't produce a son. As for the main wife if no son is born kill her and claim she ran off with a random guy then pay someone off to send news to her family every now and then."

'Sorry dad she escaped I left for a few days cause I tested her blood. She is indeed pregnant with my child what do I do?' Knowing he couldn't call his father about this he slowly ate his food while making his plans.
