Chapter 44: My Wish
It was the first time she said that word to him, 'love'. For him, it seems like the whole place was silent and it was the only word that was making a sound to his ears.
"Hey! don't look at me like that.." she put her palms on his face showing an awestruck admiration.
Seikatsu smile and said "But I like staring at you.."
"I said stop it!"
"No.." he smiled at her teasingly and continued to stare at her.
Claridad wish that she could hide somewhere against his gaze. It sends butterflies to her heart causing her to be more bashful. She was pretending to stop him, but actually she does like it.
When Seikatsu stopped teasing her, she decided to lean against his shoulders, looking at the bright moon and thinking about something. A few minutes, then she started saying that
"I wish there was no war, but I'm thankful that it happened because I met you..."
Seikatsu doesn't understand much but but he got her point, making his heart skip a beat.
"...I wish I have met you sooner..." If I did, maybe Smith will never had a chance from the beginning, even from my parents.
"...and I wish we could stay like this forever. In a place where no one will judge us nor tell us what we should do." because I also wanted to freely love you.
Thinking about this deeply, she can't help her tears to run down. If they will know that I'm in love with a Japanese guy, they will not accept him and would rather execute him. I also don't want to marry someone whom I don't love.
I wanted to be free with him. To let the world know that I love him. To do everything with him, and to share my whole life with him.
