The days went by with Mr Ming and his wife making the necessary preparations. They did some promotions and found that people gravitated to Taf's idea.
" Papa Ming, this boy sure knows his stuff, huh? Look at the responses we are getting."
Mrs Ming looked at old man Ming with a smile at a stall outside the restaurant.
" What can I say? I sure rub off well on the boy. Who said brilliance can't be taught."
Old man Ming had his usual smug look as he spoke to his adoring wife by his side.
" Leave it up to you to sing your own praises. I've grown so used to it that if you were to actually be humble for once, I would have every doctor in the city probing you."
Mrs Ming laughed as she observed her sly husband while they engaged customers.
" Isn't that why you married me, love.? How could you not, though, with this man before you charm, charisma and confidence? Remember how many ladies chased me back in the day."
Old man Ming teased before holding her in his arms as the last customer left.
" That's all you are good for, you brute. However, if I remember correctly, it seems it was the other way around."
Mrs Ming had a blush on her face as she pushed her playful husband away.
" Yes, they did try, but I decided that was one battle I wouldn't lose in this life. My limbs might be seen with importance by others, but how would I move without you, my heart?"
He grabbed his wife once more into his arms before he kissed her on her forehead. She, however, did not push him away this time.
" How can you still be so in love with this old bag of bones with ageing flesh, you old brute?"
Mrs Ming asked as she rested her head filled with grey on his seemingly frail shoulders, that on the contrary, felt as if it could hold back the rushing tides.
" The moment I met you, I liked your breathtaking features. That face, smile, and figure, but the moment I fell in love was the second I saw the real you. She will always be that goddess I fell for in these old eyes."
He continued to hold his wife tight as she listened to his heartbeat.
" Pssh..., always the sweet talker."

Night came, and the stars were out to showcase their brilliance in the dark sky, in a bit to outshine their closest rivals.
It was a breathtaking scene as the moon on the contrast seemed unperturbed as its magnificence glowed over the city. Uncaring of what happened beneath.
Below a group of persons were interacting in loud voices as if uncaring of their surroundings.
"Who cares about that damn Mouse. If that little bastard dares to show his face before me. His teeth would have a meet and greet with my fist."
A muscular man with a viper tattoo laughed as he boasted to his comrades, It was Bishop.
" To scare grown men into hiding, just as ghost tales scare three-year-olds under their beds at night, is unheard of and preposterous."
He continued to spout as he looked on his fidgety companions as they surveyed the area.
" Love, even those two pathetic gangs Eternal Death and Violet Sun members dare not participate due to fear. They are the disgrace of all of us within the city. To think they even have the gall to give themselves such names."
A seductive looking woman made her way next to Bishop's tall, bulky stature.
" Only you, my love, can be called a true man that fears none. I know if that runt were to appear here, his legs would shake in trepidation at your mere presence.
Gomorra continued as she caressed his arms.
" The lady speaks the truth, boss. That Mouse only knows how to strike fear into pansies like Stefan and Brent. When it comes to meeting true adversaries, he runs like the little Mouse he is."
A gang member with cuts all over added on as he belittled Taf.
Laughter resounded around as members that were once shaking became more resolute.

Clap!
Clap!
Clap!
The sounds of hands meeting each other began to filter through the sounds of laughter.
" I like a great performance during the night before bedtime. The acting was quite off as I don't think you mentioned my name quite enough times."
A youth with dreads on his head appeared as he sarcastically remarked while his eyes looked at thirty-plus men and women gathered.
" So let me guess.
My taxes are perceived as excessive, and you all have decided a coup. The instigator being you Bishop and that snake tongue you call your woman.
This being your laid ambush as I come to inflict my justice on my delinquent debtors."
A grin was on Taf's face as he disclosed their plot from the very start.
" Little runt, you have jumped into the snake pit only to seal the fate of your own demise."
Gamorra yelled as she saw the culprit that had created havoc among the gangs in recent years.
" Oh, it seems my kindness was misplaced when I said snake tongue woman and not refer to you by your name-
Do I know you miss? If not, why are you speaking to me?"
Taf didn't even look as he addressed her with total disregard.
" You.., you little bastard."
Gomorra fumed with hatred after hearing his response. When has anyone ever dared to treat her with such apathy?
" My love, break every bone in his body to quench my thirst for vengeance."
Her eyes burnt with seeming flames while she stared, and she heard words of revulsion.
" His demise is eminent love, so do not be drawn out by his words. I will let him beg for mercy with every cut."
Bishop comforted as a smile became apparent on his face.
" Ok, I've had enough of this talking and will only say this once. Bring me my taxes, or begin picking your favourite limbs. Then say your goodbyes to the ones that will be soon departed."
The cold words were uttered by Taf as he eyed all the members gathered. However, there was seemingly no fear in their eyes, and weapons were drawn.
A grin began to form on his face as he saw their responses,
" I love when the most challenging option is selected. If so be the case.
let us begin the smashing!"

To be continued...
In the previous chapters I was a bit regretful about not giving little Sue's character enough of a role. Being that she is basically family and should have been more involved before being married off. I realize I was doing even a bigger injustice to Mrs Ming as she wasn't even given a line before and just mentioned once is awhile. I decided to rectify the problem a bit with this chapter. Anyway, usual error and stuff.
