Chapter 19: The Devil
"Brother, why did you summoned me? Is there anything you need?"
The Young Guard enter without notification, there is no one in front of the tent and he could get in leisurely. But when he got inside no one is around. Only the ray from oil lamp wrapped the cold night. It swayed left and right with curves like a dancer as the wind caress it.
"Oh? Where is he? How can he left all alone after summoned me here. He didn't even put out the lamp. What if an accident happen."
The Young Guard kept grumpy on his way back to the torture chamber.
The fat man inside the chamber essentially drooling, but before he step up a glint of sword pointed at his next. Then a low baritone voice can be heard from his back.
"Only two huh! Tsk...."
The man in black change his face, there is a terror and shock. How did the general show up? He should be receiving the Emperor messenger just like their plan.
"They really look down on me huh. If they want to succeed at least they should send a some expert but here only some minions. They even used the card that has been nurtured since long. Was the one that order you has left the village?"
There is no fluctuations in his voice, still the low and heavy. Even when he faced the man in black his tone keep steady and easygoing.
"Are you gonna keep silent?"
The fat man shakes his head. He tried to give the man in black cloak a signal with his eyes. But the black cloak man didn't pay him any heed and instead draw a long sword. The sword glisten and reflecting the dim lights from the moon that passed the tent.
The Young general shoved the fat man out the tent and outside a lining of soldier barricades them. He lost a balance and slipped down. One of the soldier seized him and grab both arm behind the body.
Inside a clang clang sounds can be heard. The fight has begun. The General slashing his sword repeatedly and the man in black cloak only defending. General attack is swift and heavy. But his opponent can evade them, the fighting becomes more intense and the tent couldn't maintain its standing. Blood started to flow from their wound.
The young guard that just come back flabbergasted when looking at the tent condition. He searched the little girl that got detained everywhere but he still couldn't found her. He ask the soldiers but they also didn't saw a short boy.
"She used a man clothing with hair tied in a bun and short legs in conclusion a shorty, do you see someone like that?"
"Young Master do you mean he is actually a woman?"
A soldier ask in confusion. Woman was prohibited in the barracks except for flower girl so how come there is a woman here?
"No! He is a man, I mean a little boy around twelve or thirteen years old."
She should be inside the tent. But now we could not even recognize the tent form anymore, it has been destroyed by the fight.
"No, we have not see him. The General destroy the tent as soon as the fight started and after the tent collapsed we didn't saw anyone except him and the man in black."
