Meeting you, no sooner,
I realized there's a devil lying under that innocent face.
Y/N's P.O.V-
'That's all.'
'You did well hiding the camera over there. I wonder what can be in it. Did you hide it well?'
'Well enough not to get it noticed easily. Inform me the sooner you receive the codes.'
'Sure I will. How was your first day anyways?'
'Ehh, it was fine.' I let out a yawn, 'But I wanna complete it fast. These kinds of jobs are not my thing.'
'Was the workload too much? You said you arrived home just a while ago.'
'Kinda. My bike had got jammed on the way too, which got me more delayed. Thankfully Jimin gave me a lift and dropped me home.'
'What? Park Jimin dropped you home?' Momo sounded quite surprised.
'Yeah, but he is a terrible driver. He almost bumped with a car on the way. I bet he is not the one who accomplishes the driving part in their tasks.'
'Can be. But I see you are getting along quite well with them already.' Another big yawn escaped my mouth, 'Not that yet, but I will soon.'
'That Jimin guy, remember, even though he appears with a charming personality, we all know what he truly is inside. So, never dare to fall for him.'
'Yah, you think I am that easy victim? And besides, none of them are even near my ideal type.' Momo curved up a small smile, 'You sure? They are indeed to a lot of girls, you know.'
'Do I really seem like one of those ridiculous fangirls?' I rolled my eyes.
'I trust your hormones, but still giving an extra alarm. Just in case... Anyway, I have finally received the CCTV footage of that earlier BTS-Police encounter. The experts took their time but couldn't really extract anything off attention-worthy. But yet as it's still required, I'mma send it off to you. It's past midnight, you should go to sleep. Take a look when you can, okay?'
'Okay. Goodbye for now.' I was about to disconnect the call, but then I remembered. 'Oh wait, Momo.'
'Yes Y/N?' 'I need you to do me a small favor. Can you please make an inquiry about something like...if Jimin is acquainted or related to, or has any incident that gets him connected to anything of police?'
'Sure but why? Did you find anything?'
'Nothing big enough to mention yet. Inform me after you get done.'
'Okie-Dokie!'
'Good night Momo.' I smiled and disconnected the video call. Throwing myself on the pillow, I hugged the blanket closer to my body. Thinking about another day at that place, a sigh automatic elicited out my mouth.
I just want to finish this mission the fastest I can now, to get some real relief...

I keenly observed the man sitting before me with his eyes focused on the bunch of pages I handed him a while ago. The manager.
He totally resembled like nothing more than an ordinary guy, who does his morning to evening work following orders he is given; managing idols' schedules and maintaining sources. However, in his case, just a few more objectives seemed more likely to remain as added, surely or unsurely.
The first week to this new workplace was about to end. I couldn't believe, time sure flies quickly. I couldn't get to see the boys that much within these few days, but I managed to secure my position getting a hold on my tasks and acquainting with the staffs so, one part of my mission was somewhat cleared out. I needed to gain the trust of everyone, of them, rushing over it would never get me to the actual point.
'So you're Y/N L/N?' the person asked me for the second time in a row. 'Yup, that's me.'
'These ones are okay. Better finish off the rest. And did you check out the new schedule of the boys? Get that done within today and hand it over to them, okay?'
'Sure sir.' 'Alright. As my assistant, you gotta work hard a ton. Now, off you go.' With a bow, I exited his office, proceeding towards my own.
Pitter patter my shoes noised on the way through the pin drop silent corridor. I was leisurely walking down the lobby, In a while, my eyes faintly caught a tall figure. I wasn't paying much attention, but his being a little familiar got my attention. He was scurrying a few meters away in front of me with a lot of cans in his hands. struggled hard as so to carry them at a time. One of them accidentally slipped off his grip then fell down on the floor. He leaned down to pick it up, but all the other ones wobbled to threaten him that they will fall off too. I decided to come forward and help.
'There you go...' I came forward picking it up, '...Jungkook ssi?' 'Noona!' The maknae flashed a small bunny smile. 'Here. But will you be able to carry all of them at once?' I asked.
'Don't worry, I ca-woah!' I immediately drew my hand to shield all the cans that were just a second away from meeting the hard floor. 'Gosh, give some to me.' I took a few in my hands before he could say anything. 'Let's go.' I led the way.
'Are these all for your hyungs?' He looked at me then nodded. 'And they sent you alone to carry all seven for them?' He added a faint smile as he spoke. 'I lost in a game that's why...' I chuckled.
Walking side by side through the narrow way, I spared a quick glance at the boy. The youngest gangster in the group, barely 18. His strong defined body talked him before he himself. Such an innocent face, illusionary, creates magic to divert the people's eyes while does the real work in secret. He was walking keeping more or less two feet distance away from me, with his face down all the time. He seemed to be a very shy guy in person. A shy gangster, peculiar.
As soon as we reached near the practice room, a low sound reached my ears, like a soft humming of music, becoming more audible as we gained less distance, accreting to a sweet lovable melody. It was someone's voice, singing-
(lyrics of Butterfly)

Neon amu maldo kkeonajido ma
Geunyang naege useojwo
Nan ajikdo mitgijiga anha
I modeun ge da kkumin geot gada
Sarajiryeo hajima
It was calm. It was sweet. It was angelic.
It was..perfect.
As if a cherub departed from heaven to earth to attain some rhythms in the soulless hearts, to grace some ears with the deadly lusciousness it held. I stood being completely awed for a second. How can someone even sing like that?
I peeked my head through the entrance. As I did, my eyes couldn't but grow bigger. Jimin, sitting in the center with five more boys gathered around, holding the mic next to his moving lips. World didn't seem to be a concern to him. His concern was his voice, his lips moving in rhythm to grace some lyrics with his melodic voice-
Is it true? Is it true?
You? You?
Neomu areumdawo duryeowo
Untrue untrue
You you
Gyeote meomulleojullae
Naege yaksokhaejullae
Son daemyeon naragalkka buseojilkka
Geobna geobna geobna
My ears quaffed all the musicality his vocal cords held, as he was about to meet the end line of the beat slowing down, the rise of hunger for more was unbearable. Too good to be real - was what that appeared on my mind first. That questioned the main reason for which I was here. Why did he engage himself into crimes even after owning a voice like that? Guess all bright don't always feed the human mind, so they lean to pay attention towards the dark side of the moon too, that set him as a prominent example, with six more boys at his side.
'Kookie! What took you so long? We have been waiting for hours!' loud voices burst into the whole room the sooner the respective male entered. 'Hyung, it's hard to bring all these at once. And moreover, none of you came to give me a hand either.' Jungkook pouted.
'Well, you were the one to lose in the game and rules are rules--' The frequency of their voice lessened as their eyes fell on me entering the room. 'Hello.' I said, bringing forth all the cans I held for letting them pick one for themselves. 'Thank you manager-nim.' Taehyung beamed.
I smiled back, 'Since I am not really the manager of y'all, rather just the assistant one so no need to call me that. Better call me as Y/N.' With nodding, Hoseok came forward with his big welcoming smile, 'How are you doing in your new place?'
'I am doing fine. How is the practice going on? You all look really tired though.' 'Don't worry about us. We will get all managed.' He smiled in a way to cure anyone's mind.
'Ah, my one manager-nim?' 'Sorry, here---' I stopped in the middle seeing who the person was, waiting with his hand held forward to get his.
'Thank you.' Jimin said taking his sip. His face was a little sweaty, the bangs clung to his forehead. His eyes unknowingly why, reflected an unseeable form of melancholy. or, maybe dissatisfaction I don't know why, or if it's just me who was just imagining things. He seemed to be lost to somewhere, not willing enough to participate in an interaction like others. Was he sad about anything for some reason? I took the initiative to speak myself.
'I heard your singing just now, Jimin. And oh my God, you sang really great. I couldn't believe my ears. Great job!' I gave a thumbs up, feeling an urge to cheer the male up. His expression wasn't affected.
'Just great? I can feel you turned on already...' I was startled at the reply. His whispering voice sent an unconscious shiver through my spine, making me raise an eyebrow with partial disgust. He smirked at my confused face then turned away engaging himself to sip down his drink. I retreat my words, nothing happened to him and there is no need to cheer him up.
'So Y/N, Jimin told us that he gave you a lift back home on the first day as you had gotten stuck on the way. He also said, you attended our fan signs before?'
Ugh, that brat. I replied with a sheepish smile, 'Yeah, that's true. But I am just a normal fan, not like the stalker or drooler ones. Since I am your assistant manager now, that kinda restricts me from doing so too.'
'Haha, it's good to know that our noona is an ARMY.' Namjoon showed his dimple smile, 'Thank you for supporting and taking care of us.'
Yoongi was silently observing all of us, until he finally decided to speak, 'I think we had enough of our break. We should go back to practice rather than wasting time on talking.' He yawned, clearly showing off his boredom.
'Oh, I am sorry to interrupt your practice. You guys please carry on.' I bowed, turning towards the exit.
'Y/N ah, don't mind over Yoongi's words. He is like that, you may already know. Why don't you stay over for some time and watch our practice?' Namjoon insisted. 'Ah, I don't think...'
'C'mon...Do you dance by the way?' Taehyung asked. I jerked my head instant, 'Me? Dance? No, not at all.'
'But you do seem like you can bust some moves.'
'Appearing like I can doesn't mean I really can. Trust me, I am horrible.'
'Are you sure about that?' Jimin's little interruption made me turn back at him, who had a significant smug grin on his face. I shot him a 'shut your face' glare, gritting my teeth, while the smile still rested on my face, 'No I don't...Jimin...'
'Nah, I don't think so. And neither will any of us if I show them this.' He swung his phone playfully before my face, winking for a second. My eyes hanged out leaving with shock.
What?
Does that mean...?
.
.
UH HELL NO!!!
