The Ceremony has changed as for how it was originally posed to go down thanks to some comments in which I started to write the original, but erased it and started to rewrite it not to long ago.
The comment by BloodKing69 said he did not like a Helix god dragon running away, and I started to think realistically as many plans are bound to fail like Marcus's original plan to leave quietly will not work at all. The reason why is because of the same person who got her crippled, Derkus, Marcus older cousin, a person who lust after Kumi as he will definitely try to steal her and rape her and since he does almost anything in public without caring (mention in chapter 12) including stealing people's wives, daughters, lovers, and etc and raping them then of course he will do Kumi the same. So Marcus will have reveal his true power or at least some of it and fight. This stage in volume 2 would have normally would have been 1 or 2 chapter, however as I changed the scenario it will increase to between 3-5 chapters.
As to avoid a cliff hanger as I myself personally hate them when other novels do that, I will release the entire Dragon Ceremony sub arc as whole. There will be times in which I do leave a chapter as a cliff hanger, so don't hate me, when it happens saying I am a hypocrite as I will try to avoid having cliff hangers, but completely is impossible.
As an apology I will give you the simplified status updates as it will not include skills, items, powers until the gain some, and former cultivation methods. I will also tell you how the chapters work as the next chapter is meeting his mother again in which he hears comments about Derkus and know his plan will not work so he will make preparations. The next chapter will be the awakening ceremony beginning and his sister's awakening a new bloodline, and her backer coming in light(this chapter and the last one could fuse as I have not finish writing it). The next 1-3 chapters will deal with Marcus his awakening, fighting, and leaving.
