"Sorry, another time. We are in a bit hurry now" said Genea as soon as she felt that the boy would start telling a long fable of the kind in which Genea had never been very interested.
"Why don't you wait for a few more minutes. I want to listen. I genuinely want to know." said Aaron when he found Genea getting impatient. Though Genea by then could earn quite bit of Aaron's trust, he didn't seem to trust her completely just yet.
"Please make it fast and short" said Lili when she observed the little displeasure in both Aaron and Genea. She gave a pleading look to both of them and looked towards the boy. Lili always felt that things were not perfectly normal between Genea and Aaron but she could never point out to the exact cause of the little animosity.
"Yes yes, sure. It is said that the prince and princess of Bridgecoast and Wellden respectively, were very much in love seen their early teens as their marriage had been decided even before their birth due to the great relationship between the two kingdoms. But the princess of Bluehedge fancied the prince of Wellden and so, unaware of the fact that the prince's marriage had already been fixed, she had urged her parents to propose the Kingdon of Wellden for marriage. But though the King of Wellden had very courteously rejected their proposal and also had invited them in a meal for properly apologising to them, the princess had tried to lure the prince with her charm. When the princess's family came to know about the evil- doings of the princess, they reprimanded her right in front of everyone and even after continuous insistence of the King of Wellden, they thoroughly apologised to the prince's family. But the princess felt so humiliated that that day she had promised to revenge...
"Aaaaaahhhh !!!!"
Suddenly a loud shreik was heard which caught everybody's attention around Lili and Aaron and suddenly the area near the shooting game got crowded. Aaron and Lili quickly looked behind them and found Genea had left at some point of time without them noticing. Having a bad premonition about it, they quickly rushed towards the shooting game's stall. The boy at the stall too rushed behind them to know what had happened.
When they got nearer, they found Genea sitting on the mud, her butt on the ground, she looking miserable.
"Geneaaa.. what happened?!! How did you end up this way?" Lili asked Genea with a voice filled with concern.
"I had told you to wait didn't I? said Lili a bit angry this time.
To this, Genea meekly replied, "I am sorry. I felt that the so called legend was very boring but you two seemed so interested in it. So I didn't want to disturb you and thought of staying around but looking here and there a bit. And then I found this game interesting and so I thought that I would try it. I even shot one balloon but the recoil.."
Lili instantly got furious when she understood the cause of Genea's fall and yelled at the students standing at the stall, "Couldn't any of you help her handle the gun? Don't you know most people don't know how to use a gun?"
But soon after she finished speaking, she heard Genea's soft voice which sounded quite embarrassed and pitiful, "They aren't in the fault. The boy in the blue shirt had told me that the gun is very heavy and I wouldn't be able to handle the recoil. But it was me who was over confident and adamant to use the gun all by myself."
At the end Genea's voice was so small that it could barely be heard and her head hung so low that her neck formed a perfect "U".
