Chapter 30: Empty Eyes
Days have passed since the day of their romantic date in Paris. Cyllene has been spending her time studying at home, when Cyde has extended his prowess to the Headmaster of Prestige Academy and was able to let her learn within the mansion and only get to attend school when it was time for exam.
She was still confused as to how he was doing it, but as time passed by she didn't care anymore. She fell in love with laziness and solitude as Cyde began his pampering, that she didn't know she willingly became his petty little kept cat.
She plans to have fun at the mall so she prepared herself and ran to Cyde's office.
"Cy" she approached him and wrapped her arms around him from behind, while he sat on his swivel chair typing on his laptop. He glanced at her and told her to spill her thoughts as he pushed his reading glasses on his nose bridge when it was sliding off.
"Can I go out?" she sweetly said and batted her eyes, acting cute, 'this might work' she thought. Cyde could only shake his head in amusement and chuckled, saying it was fine, but she has to bring tins of security with her. Cyllene could only giggle at his obvious act of over protectiveness.
After a while, she reached the City's infamous mall and walked around, feasting her eyes over the lined upped restaurants on the food section.
She walked to the first store in line with a huge grin plastered on her lips. 'This will be a good one'. Hours have passed and she already 'visited' all the stores who sell food within the mall's perimeter. She said security was having a hard time keeping up to her and also keeping her precious food safe.
Suddenly, a petite little girl bumped into her. Her long hair white and her grey eyes held emptiness. Cyllene stood there, shocked as she saw dullness within the girl's eyes.
She could feel her back turned cold as the girl's eyes landed on her.
She was undeniably beautiful but her face lacked expression. It was as if she already gave up on life.
The white haired girl looked away and walked past her. She could only watch her walk away. It was then she realized she had stopped breathing.
After that, it took her a couple of runabouts till she decided to go back home. Still thinking about the eyes she saw before. 'Who is she?' she thought.
