I'm Hercules, So What? I’ve Got a PhD in Myths!
"So, you're telling me I wrestled three cyclopes last night and... won?"
Dr. Alexander Matthews, a myth-obsessed professor, never expected his latest research trip to Greece would lead to actually becoming Hercules.
After stumbling upon a cursed diary, Alexander wakes up in ancient Greece... only now he’s got bulging muscles, an olive-wood club, and a to-do list that includes slaying the Nemean Lion.
His body is built for heroics, but his mind is still very much a coffee-fueled academic. Between dodging centaurs and managing way too many injuries, Alexander struggles to keep his cool.
With ancient monsters to fight, divine drama to dodge, and the constant realization that he's really bad at ancient Greek armor, Alexander must somehow survive Hercules' legendary labors — all while trying not to faint from pain... or embarrassment.
"So, about the Nemean Lion... any chance it just needs a hug?"

I’m an international, multiple award-winning author with a passion for the voices in my head. As a singer, songwriter, independent filmmaker and improv teacher and performer, my life has always been about creating and sharing what I create with others. Now that my dream to write for a living is a reality, with over a hundred titles in happy publication and no end in sight, I live in beautiful Prince Edward Island, Canada, with my giant cats, pug overlord and overlady and my Gypsy Vanner gelding, Fynn.
Being super doesn't come with a training manual.
No.3 plucked me out of my wheelchair and securely strapped me into a three point harness before I could even think to fight, not that I could have struggled much. He ignored me and left me there, carrying my folded chair out with him. I gaped, unable to breathe or think, watching him exit and approach a white-coated man who turned when No.3 spoke to him.
I knew that scientist. "Dad!"
He glanced at me and I felt a shudder of cold drive through my stomach. It was like he didn't see me at all.
Sixteen-year-old Wyatt Simons has spent his entire life in a wheelchair, raised by his nanny Abigail since his scientist father wants nothing to do with him. That's why Wyatt is so shocked when his dad has him brought to his secret underground lab where Wyatt is exposed to a secret military experiment, one that transforms his body beyond all expectations. But physical changes can do nothing to erase the fact his father still treats him like he's in the way, or help find the dangerous saboteur undermining the project.

Hercules, Greece’s greatest hero. The son of Zeus. The champion of the gods.
Until Hera made him her greatest victim.
He woke up drenched in blood. His wife. His children. Dead by his own hands.
He was a hero. Now, he is a murderer.
The gods look upon him with pity—some with sympathy—but Hera, Queen of Olympus, will not rest until he is utterly destroyed. With every step he takes, with every enemy he faces, she is there, laughing in the shadows, waiting for his fall.
To redeem himself, he must complete twelve impossible labors—each designed to break him. But Hercules is not a man who bows. If Hera wants him ruined, then he will show her what the fury of a demigod truly means.
A fallen hero. A cursed champion. The sworn enemy of the Queen of Olympus.
The legend is reborn—darker, bloodier… with a vengeance worthy of the gods.
Glory to the Lion of Greece. Glory to Hercules!

The 12 Labors of Hercules are a series of tasks. First, he had to slay the Nemean Lion, which had an impenetrable hide. He strangled it with his bare hands. Then, he had to defeat the nine - headed Lernaean Hydra. Every time he cut off one of its heads, two more grew back, but he managed to overcome it with the help of his nephew. Another labor was to capture the Ceryneian Hind, a deer sacred to Artemis. He chased it for a whole year before finally catching it alive.
Eurystheus assigned the 12 Labors to Hercules. It was because Hercules had killed his own wife and children in a fit of madness caused by Hera. As a punishment, he was given these extremely difficult tasks to perform in order to atone for his sins.
The eighth labor was to steal the Mares of Diomedes. These horses were man - eating. Hercules fed their master to them and then tamed them. Ninth was the Belt of Hippolyta. He had to get this from the Amazon queen. Tenth was the Cattle of Geryon. Hercules had to travel to the end of the world for this. Eleventh was to steal the Golden Apples of the Hesperides. And the twelfth was to capture Cerberus, the three - headed dog that guarded the underworld.
The first labor was to slay the Nemean Lion. Hercules choked it to death. Then he had to defeat the nine - headed Lernaean Hydra for his second labor. For the third, he captured the Ceryneian Hind. And so on, with each labor presenting a different and difficult task like cleaning the Augean stables which were extremely filthy. Another notable labor was stealing the apples of the Hesperides.
One of the main events is Hercules' fight with the Nemean Lion. He couldn't use weapons on its tough hide, so he used his bare hands to strangle it. Another important part is when he dealt with the Lernaean Hydra. He had to figure out how to stop the heads from multiplying. Also, cleaning the Augean stables was a significant event as he had to use his wits to complete it in a day by diverting rivers.
Well, in the '12 labors of hercules short story', there are many remarkable events. For instance, one of the labors was cleaning the Augean stables which were extremely filthy. Hercules redirected the rivers to clean them in a single day. Also, he had to steal the Mares of Diomedes. These horses were wild and ate human flesh. Hercules fought Diomedes and fed him to his own horses to subdue them. Then there was the task of obtaining the girdle of Hippolyta, the Amazon queen. This was no easy feat as the Amazons were fierce warriors.
Slaying the Nemean Lion is a key event. Its hide was so tough that weapons couldn't pierce it. Hercules used his strength to strangle it. Another is the fight with the Lernaean Hydra. He had to deal with the regenerating heads. Capturing the Erymanthian Boar was also important. He chased it in the snow - covered mountains.
The most significant aspect is Hercules' display of extraordinary strength. Like when he defeated the Nemean Lion with his bare hands. Another is his perseverance. Facing the Lernaean Hydra's regenerating heads, he didn't give up.
The story of Hercules' 12 labors is really fascinating. It all began when Hercules was tasked with these labors as a form of punishment for his wrongdoings. For instance, in his first labor, the Nemean Lion had a hide that couldn't be pierced by normal weapons, but Hercules managed to strangle it with his bare hands. The second labor, the Lernaean Hydra, was a multi - headed monster. Every time he cut off one head, two more would grow back. However, with the help of his nephew, he found a way to cauterize the necks and finally defeated it. As he progressed through the labors, he faced various other formidable foes and challenges.
The main character was obviously Hercules. He was a demigod, son of Zeus and a mortal woman. Another important character was King Eurystheus who assigned the 12 labors to Hercules as a form of punishment. There were also various creatures like the Nemean Lion, the Lernaean Hydra, and Cerberus which Hercules had to face during his labors.
