Advice for WN Authors

Advice for WN Authors

Aight bois. This is coming from an author and a reader: most of y'all's writing sucks. Readers shouldn't have to turn their brains off to enjoy your writing... That's just forcing them to be a zombie and mindlessly passing time by, ain't no enjoyment there. So in case you couldn't tell already, this will be very blunt. Thus, here's some things to keep in mind as you read. 1. If you're just going to hear and not listen, skedaddle. Hearing is having it go through one ear and out the other, listening is paying attention and making the effort to understand. 2. Toss your pride away. Yeet it across the ocean. I've seen sooo many authors unable to take constructive criticism and INSIST on improper grammar because they couldn't admit they did something wrong. 3. If you think your writing is good, then it's terrible. Simple. Reason: If you think your writing is good, then you stop looking for ways to improve it and it stagnates. Even the best of the best authors (on wn and traditional books) have room for improvement so don't be like "ah it's good enough" or "there's no where else to improve." 4. Don't listen aggressively. I.e. listening only to find faults in what the person says and use it disprove their claim. One example is waiting for your opponent to make a grammar mistake.  This is different from debate tactics to lead your opponent into logical trap and use their fallacies they accidentally left behind to invalidate everything they said. It's hard to notice, but the main difference is that someone who listens aggressively is no longer open minded or calm. They're usually narrow minded and stubborn to admit they're wrong in those moments and are very easy to manipulate bc they're blinded so ye. Did I leave some traps within the logic presented here? Maybe. Don't be an idiot and you won't have to find out. Side note: apologies if this boi comes off as ranting, bc it is. The average wn quality is on par with mtl childrens books, which is infuriating bc now there's hardly anything good left to read.

We die like web authors

We die like web authors

No editing. A chapter a day. We die like web series authors. Don't take it too seriously. What is the dream? Reincarnation? OP life cheats? An ultimate system? An ultimate writing system? Yeah sure does sound nice, too bad this author gets none of that. Tune in for the random life of a slow hobby writer and the ratatouille- style hamster that actually runs the place. Enjoy ramblings, writer's block, distractions in every chapter and a lot of internal arguing as author and hamster battle it out. Find spoilers in CC's other novels. Read into the nerdy worldbuilding research, cry in the editing room and drink too much tea. This is half novel half ranting exp adding tears. Not a diary. Maybe just entertain yourself for 2 seconds. This has been CC and Mr. Hamster's daily life.

Aussie crime fiction often features the unique Australian landscape as a backdrop. It can be the harsh outback or the busy city streets of Sydney or Melbourne.

One Aussie Christmas story could be about a family in the outback. They have a barbecue on Christmas day instead of a traditional roast. They gather around the grill with their kangaroo steaks and cold beer, enjoying the warm Aussie sun while sharing gifts. The kids play with their new cricket sets in the vast open land around their home.

I'm not sure specifically what 'aussie greg free stories' are about as the name is rather ambiguous. It could be stories related to an Aussie named Greg that are freely available, perhaps some local tales, personal anecdotes, or fictional stories centered around this Greg character from Australia.
What is 'Angry Aussie Pulp Fiction' about?

Since we don't have much information about 'Angry Aussie Pulp Fiction', it's hard to say exactly. However, thinking about what 'angry' could imply, there could be themes of injustice or oppression that the characters are reacting to. And being 'Aussie', it might incorporate Australian cultural elements such as the unique Australian slang, Aboriginal culture references (if relevant), and the distinct Australian landscapes. The 'pulp fiction' part makes me think it would have a certain rawness and perhaps a focus on more sensational or edgy storytelling rather than high - brow literature or cinema.
What are the unique elements in Aussie Christmas stories?

2024-11-13 17:03
One unique element is the role of the local community. In Aussie Christmas stories, the community is often very involved. For example, they might organize a big Christmas parade through the town center. There could also be stories about how different cultural groups within Australia come together during Christmas. Aboriginal traditions might be incorporated into the celebrations in some areas, like the use of certain native plants in decorations. This blend of cultures and the strong sense of community are things that set Aussie Christmas stories apart.
Is 'Bluey an Aussie Horror Story' a popular concept?
1 answer
2024-11-12 03:13
I would say it's not popular. 'Bluey' has a large following among families and young children because of its cute characters and positive messages. A horror version goes against the general perception of the brand. Most people who enjoy 'Bluey' are looking for the heartwarming and educational aspects, not horror, so it remains a relatively unknown and unpopular concept.
What is 'Bluey an Aussie Horror Story' about?

I'm not entirely sure specifically as it's not a widely known mainstream 'Bluey' concept in the normal family - friendly 'Bluey' series. It could potentially be a fan - made or very niche horror take on the Bluey characters set in an Australian context, perhaps involving some sort of dark twist on the Aussie landscape or the relationships between the characters that we know from the original, like the Heelers family, but that's just speculation.
Tell me the Aussie Night Before Christmas story.

The 'Aussie Night Before Christmas' is a unique take on the traditional Christmas story. In the Aussie version, instead of snow and reindeer, you might have kangaroos hopping around. Santa might be arriving in a ute rather than a sleigh. It often includes elements of the Australian outback and the native animals. For example, the possums could be peeking out from the gum trees as Santa approaches. It's a fun and different way to experience the Christmas spirit in an Australian context.

Well, I heard about an Aussie family on a road trip. They stopped by a creek and decided to have a swim. But they didn't notice there were some ducks. When they got in the water, the ducks started quacking and chasing them around. The Aussies were laughing so hard as they tried to get away from the angry ducks.
