D Rank Demon of the Wastelands

D Rank Demon of the Wastelands

Wasteland Hero’s a yet unreleased full dive video game. Jake had received an early access copy in the mail. He had never been much for games, but his mother had. She even owned one of the expensive full dive consoles. Now that she was dead, having passed suddenly from cancer it was his. Logging in he found a game, unlike anything he had expected. Instead of stiff blocky graphics, what he discovers is a game of unparalleled graphics where high science fiction such as power armors, personal shields, smart guns, and even plasma rifles was commonplace. Just as common as high fantasy tropes of magic arrow shooting archers, fireball launching wizards, and mightly knights in shining plate. Within the game, he soon finds friends and even love to help him escape from his grief. Together with his new friends, he sets out on the simple adventure of getting stronger in a game without levels or experience. When tragedy strikes a grief-stricken Jake finds out that nothing is as it seems. What is virtual and what is real are completely different than he always believed. Worse, even as he struggles to cope with recent tragedy forces beyond his control seek to ruin everything. Soon he realizes just how small his world really was. With attributes that are stuck at D rank no matter how much Mugatgen he absorbs. His Power Claw class having no skills and being purely melee. Combined with his fear of working with any other players, will he become the hero of the wastelands? Or will he become the Demon just like his new nickname? Note: The first arc is slow-paced meant to cover the MC's introduction to the world. The event that shaped who he is to become. It is much slower-paced than the next arcs. The second arc is also written so you could jump in there if you wanted to skip the slower backstory section. Up to you the reader. Maybe give the more fast-paced arc a shot then catch up on the past.

Tips for drafting a short story
1 answer

When drafting a short story, start with a strong opening. Hook the reader right away. You can start with a question, a shocking statement, or an exciting action. For instance, 'She opened the door and found a dragon sitting in her living room.' Then, build the tension gradually. As the story progresses, make things more difficult for the character. In terms of the ending, it should be satisfying. It can be a happy ending where the character achieves their goal, or a more thought - provoking ending that leaves the reader with something to think about.

Look at your interests. If you're into science fiction, themes like time travel, alien invasions, or future dystopias could be great. For example, if you love history, a theme could be a person's struggle during a historical event. Another way is to consider current events. You could explore themes like social inequality or environmental issues in a fictional short story. Also, think about emotions. Themes related to love, loss, or hope are always powerful.

It could be seen that the part-time job market provided a more convenient way to find part-time jobs. Through the establishment of a supply and demand docking platform, the part-time job market changed the traditional method of " finding work by the roadside " into a precise mode of " finding people with work." Some areas had already set up service stations for the part-time job market, such as the "Talent Grocery Store" in Wuying Street and the part-time job market in Xingyang City. These service stations provided job registration, employment registration, professional training, labor rights protection, policy consultation, and other windows to help part-time workers and employers match supply and demand. In addition, some online platforms, such as the " part-time job APP " and " part-time job smart choice ", provided free information, smart matching recommendations, and other functions to help part-time jobs and employers find suitable jobs and workers faster. Therefore, if you need to find part-time jobs, you can find suitable opportunities through these part-time markets and online platforms.

Being a librarian is a great job for novel writers. You are surrounded by books all day, which is a constant source of inspiration. You can observe different writing styles, story themes, and character developments from a vast collection of novels. A teacher of literature can also be a good fit. Teaching forces you to analyze and dissect various works of literature, which in turn sharpens your own writing skills. Also, you can share your own writing experiences with students. And, working as a journalist can offer unique perspectives. Journalists are used to researching, interviewing, and presenting information in an engaging way, all of which are valuable skills for a novel writer.
