plastic pollution in ocean

Emerald Ocean

Emerald Ocean

{Announcement} Got a notification about being put in some kinda promising books event or whatever which I guess could be considered feedback so I'ma get to work on this book again... Gotta finish that there last arc... My little Gieco Lizard deserves death!!! --- Inside a garden full of towering trees untold years old that sadly have inferiority complexes caused by the never ending giant tower that supports the sky that the garden sits in front. Upon the branch of one of the smallest trees in the garden, the last of it's kind of the tallest it's breed of tree was ever been able to grow as well as the oldest, sits a beautiful fairy who seems but the size of a squirrel emotionless sipping tea watching the leaves fall off the leaves of the tree as if having already given up on life when suddenly a wind passes by the eternally still garden and everything gently quakes as the infinite number of lines along the towers base lights up gently with a blazing emerald flame that is bordering on black. As if struck by a earth quake the woman falls out of her chair unbearably shaking as her eyes lock upon a thing far away in the infinitely large garden not a plant, not a tree, but the ground itself. A crazy and hopeful fire begins to burn deep within the beautiful fairies eyes as reaches out her hand and with a determined look shatters the very core of her soul sending a piece of herself out into the earth and herself tumbling listlessly into a deep sleep alone on the branch. Hope still burning in her eyes even as they slowly close and a twisted smile upon her lips. Like a bolt of lightning the core of her soul that was a part of her soul but not at the same time takes flight towards the sky circling around the crown of the small tree twice before gently bumping into the already sleeping woman as if in sorrow before flashing away faster then the eye could see reaching a distance so far you wouldn't be able to walk it in a million years even if you could travel at the speed of light and diving into the soil of a solitary mound of dirty diving deeper and deeper it eventually stops and flashes so bright it can even be suttly seen from the garden above as the deep blue light like the ocean fuses into the very core of an single solitary atom inside the soil as if slipping through a crack. Across a vast and unending expanse of sky a brilliant flash of blue light up the very core of a universe before zooming away in the exact instant it appeared as if nothing their ever mattered not the massive throne, the unending number of people fighting for it, nor the ghastly little hut that's door has never opened in all of its existence and that space has warped the top of that no eyes made of flesh has ever seen and no man has ever hoped to enter. One, Ten, A Hundred, A thousand, A Million, A Billion, an untold number more stars pass by as they begin to trail together before the light finally find a crack. Not in space, not in time, not in anything but itself simply existing like it's always existed. The space between filled with nothing. Diving into the crack without even slowly down the blue light seems to fade from existence as if it was never there. Slowly but surely as the blue light fades so does the crack before with it's last peek a suttle flash of Emerald escapes being vanishing from sight. The gentle beam of light flew out never stopping till it struck a nearby planet. As the light was absorbed by that planets inhabitants something... Awoke.

One of the main causes is industrial waste. Many factories around the Indian Ocean dump their untreated waste into the ocean. Another cause is oil spills from ships. These spills can have a huge impact on the marine ecosystem.

The development of biodegradable plastics can also be considered a success story. These plastics break down more easily than traditional plastics. Some companies are now producing biodegradable packaging materials. This is a step forward in reducing long - term plastic pollution as they don't persist in the environment for hundreds of years like regular plastics. Also, some cities have implemented effective waste management systems that specifically target plastic waste. They have increased recycling facilities and improved waste collection, which has led to a reduction in plastic pollution within their boundaries.

One sad story is about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. It's a vast area filled with tons of plastic waste. Marine animals often mistake the plastic for food. For example, sea turtles may eat plastic bags, thinking they are jellyfish. This can lead to their death as the plastic blocks their digestive system.

Maybe the surfer girl has found that plastic pollution is affecting the sea animals she loves. For example, she may have seen sea turtles getting entangled in plastic bags or seabirds with plastic in their beaks. This makes her determined to do something about it, like starting a local campaign to reduce plastic waste.
Can you share a few plastic pollution success stories in detail?

In some European countries, like Germany, their advanced waste sorting and recycling systems are a great example of success against plastic pollution. German households are required to separate different types of waste, including plastics. The high - quality recycling infrastructure then processes these plastics into new materials. This has led to a high rate of plastic recycling in the country. Additionally, public education campaigns about the importance of recycling and reducing plastic waste have been very effective. People are more likely to choose products with less packaging or made from recycled materials, which in turn reduces the overall plastic pollution.

Another sad story involves microplastics. These tiny pieces of plastic are everywhere in the ocean. Small organisms like plankton can ingest them. Since these small organisms are at the bottom of the food chain, when larger fish eat them, the microplastics accumulate in their bodies. Eventually, when humans consume these fish, we are also exposed to the microplastics, which is a very concerning cycle of pollution.
Pollution Interception Project

The sewage interception project was a water pollution treatment project. By constructing and transforming the sewage pipeline inside the sewage generating unit and connecting it to the sewage pipeline system under the city road, the sewage was transported to the sewage treatment plant for treatment. This kind of engineering measure was the most direct and effective method for the treatment of black and smelly water bodies, and it was also the premise of other technical measures. The purpose of the sewage interception project was to control the discharge of sewage within the city and reduce the direct flow of sewage into rivers and lakes, thereby improving the quality of the water environment. The specific implementation method included laying sewage interception pipeline along the river and lake, and reasonably setting up pumping stations to intercept the sewage and incorporate it into the urban sewage collection and treatment system. This could effectively control the discharge of sewage and reduce the pollution of water bodies. The sewage interception project played an important role in the treatment of urban black and smelly water bodies.
The solution to environmental pollution

There were many ways to solve environmental pollution. First of all, reducing pollution sources was one of the key measures. They could reduce or eliminate pollution sources by strengthening the environmental protection supervision of industrial enterprises, promoting clean production technology, improving the efficiency of sulfur and nitrogen removal in coal fired power plants, and controlling vehicle exhaust. Secondly, improving the energy structure was also an important part. It could reduce the reliance on highly polluting fuel and promote the use of clean energy, such as developing wind energy, solar energy, and other regenerative energy sources. It could improve energy efficiency and reduce the use of coal and oil. In addition, strengthening traffic management measures was also an important means to solve environmental pollution, including promoting public transportation, encouraging non-motor transportation, limiting the driving of certain highly polluting vehicles, and raising vehicle exhaust standards. In addition, establishing a sound air quality monitoring system, timely understanding of pollution conditions, issuing early warnings, and taking corresponding emergency measures were also important environmental governance methods. In addition, increasing the coverage of urban green space through measures such as planting trees and urban greenery, absorbing and absorbing air pollution, and improving air quality was also one of the effective solutions. In short, the solution to environmental pollution required comprehensive consideration of various factors and various measures to reduce pollution sources, improve energy structure, strengthen traffic management, establish monitoring systems, and increase green coverage.
