Here lies the story of Mike. Mike was always very stubborn and competitive, he always wanted to be one of the best, especially in his favourite sport, swimming. But luck and talent weren't on his side, he trained and trained all day with all he had, until he could barely even get out of bed, he barely had time to study let alone have a social life. But in the end nothing he did could even compare to people who were naturally gifted. Follow him on his path full of desperation and frustration, and maybe success in the end.

Alanna swallowed, and carefully placed the piece of fruit she had been peeling on the shimmering plate in front of her. Absently, she noticed that she had managed to carefully remove every piece of the skin and white pith from only a quarter of the orange, in what had to be a record for the slowest peeling in the history of oranges. She had been purposefully drawing out removing the skin from the fruit, knowing that if she ever reached the stage of placing a segment in her mouth, she would look like a cow endlessly chewing the cud as she attempted to pulp it enough to squeeze down her tight throat. Helene's hand under her elbow steadied her as she rose on her shaky legs. 'I will not look at him', she vowed silently to herself, while Helene shook out the soft, silken folds of her gown, but her eyes betrayed her, darting shyly across the table, to where the men remained seated.

hunting is the worlds oldest sport. and one of the most important. hunters provided the essential sustenance to keep mankind alive in its infancy. and how does the modern world treat its oldest profession? its fallen out of favor in this day and age. an essential job that every people practiced is now religated to a sport for recreation rather then something out of desperation and necessity. it is now met with ridicule and scorn from modern people who buy their food at a grocery and never have to look their food in the eye when they take a life. everything has already been prepared for their consumption. someone else did the dirty work. that someone else is us. the hunters coven. its sad really? we had to be ashamed of being a hunter in our old world. and we have to be ashamed in this new one too. especially now that the food has rights. can speak. talk. and fire a gun back at you. but they all go down just the same at the end of our sight. meat is meat. the only question is will it be yours or theirs. we will be bringing home at the end of the hunt.. authors note- did this for the contest. was originally gonna go with show biz, but decided on sports because hunting for show biz is really niche. but the story will contain themes of game show and documentary. the setting is placed in a competition to hunt animals in another world. except with a twist. read to find out. additionally. i will try to post daily. maybe even twice a day. if i have a time. each chapter will be religated to a hunt. each volume will be a tour.

In sports it's about determination and giving your self up for it most people have the ability for sports but they are not meant to be sports men or woman.
