Fire & Vice: Fear in Her Eyes
Hi, my name is Nikita Slater and I'm the International Bestselling author of The Queens series, Fire & Vice series, The Sanctuary series, Driven Hearts series and several standalone novels. I've loved the written word my entire life and am an avid reader, as well as a writer. I live, eat and breathe books and I'm always working on something new!
I live on the beautiful Canadian prairies with my son and crazy awesome dog. I have an unholy affinity for books (especially dark romance), wine, pets and anything chocolate. Despite some of the darker themes in my books (which are pure fun and fantasy), I am a staunch feminist and advocate of equal rights for all races, genders and non-gender specific persons. When I'm not writing, dreaming about writing or talking about writing, I love to help others discover a love of reading and writing through literacy and social work.
Who can she trust in a world filled with shadows?
Daniel Mercer wants something he shouldn’t have. He wants the woman from his building; the blind musician. The dark, dominant part of his soul calls for him to reach out and take her, to make her beg. He wants to possess her, to see the fear in her eyes as he takes her from her tidy world.
He knows he's not good enough for her. He's a savage through and through. He's seen and done things normal men can't imagine. Unfortunately for her, he can't seem to let her go. Her lush curves, delicate beauty and helpless attempts at independence soothe the predator in him.
Addison’s ordered life has gone from perfectly pleasant to terrifying in two crazy missteps; Daniel Mercer and a terrifying stalker. Could they be one and the same?
Daniel storms into her life in a hail of bullets, first saving her and then bullying her with his overbearing non-musical presence. He touches her at every opportunity, lighting up her dark world with a kaleidoscope of colour, then pushing her away whenever she gets too close.
But will he push her too far, into the arms of the stalker who lurks in the shadows?

Authors note: I just wanted to try to incorporate lovecraftian/soulsborne elements into a Xianxia and see how it would turn out. I'm working hard to make it stand out as unique and original.

FEAR WHAt I'LL BECOME AFtER DEAtH
I got used to death before, after my grandmother, my uncle Peter, and a few of my parents' high school friends. I thought I'd be able to get used to it out here too, but I guess things are different when you're the one causing the death and when you have no one to help you get over it.
I wish I could do things right. For myself, for the people around me, the people I love. It never works out that way though. I do stupid shit and it has consequences, I know it does but I keep doing it. It's like my body will do anything to survive but my mind wants the exact opposite.
This is not a story about love. It is not a story about heartbreak but my life revolves around that. After what I did to him it's all it can revolve around. I deserve death. He deserved to take me with him, but he didn't. Unfortunately I'm still here.
---A spin-off to the After Death series. This story focuses on a new group of survivors, including an apocalypse-orphaned 17 year old boy from Ohio named Valentine Evans, as they struggle to make a life for themselves.

Fear-Fuelled Thief
Seth enjoys many things: fire, stealing, explosions, but the thing that drives him the most is fear. Reincarnated into a world of levels and classes Seth has to not only live, but prosper in this new world that calls him Evil just because of his given class. He wasn’t evil, Seth was just a bit... innovative.
This novel is far less System-based than it sounds and is mainly just used to better showcase the character's powers and progress. I promise you, not excellent writing but decent enough to let the story do its own talking.
Enjoy the story, bear with my grammar, and have a nice day.

Sure. Fear is a very common and powerful theme. It can be used to explore human nature. In a story, characters may face their fears, which can lead to growth or downfall. Take 'The Lord of the Flies' for instance. The boys on the island are afraid of the beast, which is actually a manifestation of their own inner fears and the breakdown of civilization.
Well, in the 'fear 1 game' story, it's set in a sort of post - apocalyptic or at least very dangerous situation. The main character is part of a military unit. They face these really strange and often terrifying enemies. It has a lot of jump scares and a mystery that slowly unfolds as you play. The environments are also used really well to build the horror, like dark corridors and abandoned buildings.
The 'Fear Files: A School Story' might be about the fears that students face in a school environment. It could be about bullying, which is a very real and scary thing for a lot of kids. Or it could be related to the pressure of exams and the fear of failure. Another aspect could be the fear of the unknown, like a new teacher who seems a bit off or a strange noise coming from the school basement.
Fear 1996 is actually a work of fiction. The plot and characters were invented by the writers and not inspired by real events or people. This allows for more creative freedom and dramatic elements in the story.
Not necessarily. Fear of a story summary could stem from concerns about spoiling the full experience of the story, but it might not be foolish if it's based on a genuine desire to discover everything as you read/watch.
