In my opinion, the survival mode is better. It really makes you feel like you're in a harsh, unforgiving wilderness. You have to rely on your skills and knowledge to stay alive. The story mode is good too, but it's not as immersive in terms of the survival aspect. You're more focused on the story rather than the day - to - day struggle for survival.
Titanfall 1 did not have a single player story mode. It was mainly a cooperative multiplayer game, and there would be a different storyline for each battle. Although the game contained some single-player elements, it was not an online FPS game in the traditional sense. It was a combination of multiplayer and single-player elements.
The GTA story mode has little to no effect on the online mode. They are designed to be standalone entities. Even though they share the same game universe, the mechanics and progress are separate.
In GTA 5, there's no legitimate way to transfer money from the story mode to the online one. Rockstar Games has strict measures in place to prevent this to ensure fair play for all online players.
