Bloodlines of the Ancient Pantheons

This novel is currently on pause. It doesn't mean that is finished or that it will never see another chapter. Since it need a hard editing rework, I will now focus on my New Novel "My Demon Pet System", participating in WSA 2K21. I sincerely hope you loyal readers will show your support by voting it and helping it climb the rankings. I aspire to edit BoAP soon, letting you know more about Dag's adventures. _________________SYNOPSIS_________________ Millions of years in the future, the Sun collapsed, and the existence of the human race on Earth was about to end. Yet, the arrival of the Xis, an omnipotent alien race, saved the human from mass extinction and forced them to live under the surface of the airless, dying planet. Their act wasn't selfless though. The Xis forced the human race to atone for their sins against the Earth by sending them on a journey to explore their ancient bloodlines. They created an artificial solar system with a planet for each of the ancient pantheons, and divided the remains of the human race according to their ancestors. Dag, an earthling kid, is about to undergo the test of his bloodline through an alien machine called "Temporum". The Temporum would send him to the Viking planet, where he will discover an eerie connection with the ancient Gods and learn to wield part of their power. However, he will soon find out that his bloodline hides far more than that... 6 pantheons 6 destination planets A multitude of Gods and supernatural powers. One destiny to fulfill. P.S. This is my first novel. Comments and feedbacks are very welcome. I'm from Italy, so I'm constantly improving my writing skills. A Military Doctor Became a Stepmom in Ancient Times

A Military Doctor Became a Stepmom in Ancient Times

Ning Yue was a military doctor and a special forces soldier. During a mission to rescue hostages, she died from a bomb explosion. Ning Yue thought she was dead, but when she opened her eyes, she had become a woman in ancient times with the same name but a different surname. This woman’s father was a general, but she lived in the Ning Family Village and was raised by her adoptive parents for more than ten years. A year ago, the people from the general’s residence found her and brought her back. However, they sent her back again a few months later. When the original owner of the body returned to the village, she was pregnant and gave birth to twin sons within a few months. Another year passed, and the year of the great drought was ushered in. The entire village had to flee. The original owner of the body left with the rest of the villagers with her two sons and slow-witted father. In other words, the current special forces soldier, Ning Yue, was an older single young woman who had not experienced the sweetness of love. She had skipped all those steps, and directly became a mother to two children. She also gained the original owner’s dim-witted father and a body that didn’t work and had hunger pangs after starving for two days. But was that all? Don’t be naive! “Don’t eat my daughter! Don’t eat my daughter!” The original owner’s father pleaded. “The older one’s meat is too hard, so it needs to be cooked longer. These two small ones have tender meat, so they only need to be roasted for a while. We’ll eat the big one tomorrow!” Ning Yue, who was now being viewed as food, looked up at the sky and said to herself, “Gee, thanks SO much!”

One funny ancient Hawaiian story is about the demigod Maui. Maui was known for his trickery. In one tale, he tried to slow down the sun. He made ropes from his sister's hair and used them to lasso the sun. His goal was to make the days longer so his people could have more time to fish and do their work. It's a humorous story that shows Maui's bold and clever nature.

Well, there's the story of the Hawaiian monk seal that liked to sunbathe on a particular beach where people would often have picnics. One day, it waddled right up to a family's picnic blanket and started sniffing at their food. The family was startled at first but then found it hilarious as the seal seemed so interested in their sandwiches.

Hawaiian origin stories influence modern Hawaiian culture in many ways. They help to preserve a sense of identity. For example, many Hawaiians today still refer to the stories when talking about their heritage. The values from the origin stories, such as respect for nature, are still very much alive. Hawaiians often take care of the land and sea because the origin stories teach that these were created by the gods and are sacred.
