Fictionalized memoir books can take more creative liberties. They might change the order of events or combine characters for the sake of a better narrative flow. Traditional memoirs usually follow a more chronological and factual order. In a fictionalized memoir, the author might use metaphors and fictional devices more freely to enhance the emotional impact, whereas traditional memoirs rely more on straightforward storytelling of real events.
