...Authors note... Just rambling, feel free to skip... Started this novel testing a lot of things out. Only when I started nearing the end of the first book and went on to the next is when I think I found some footing on how this will be written. In short, while the first book had some questionable decisions (and there will most definitely be more to come), I think the process helped me gain a better understanding of how I want this story to go and how I can improve on my writing skills.
