Forlorn--
Gwendolynn was raised by humans. Thinking she was just like any other human, she never thought she was, in fact, an elf until she began seeing the similarities between this mythical creature, and herself.
Upon discovering her origins, she starts to learn who she is, and what her race is capable of.
Finding out why Elves have gone extinct, Gwendolynn has to decide what she will do with this information, and what her place is within the strands of fate.
This story is going to come about in no particular order because it's based on an outline that's still being worked on. This work in particular is actually a bit of a collaboration. A friend has inspired me to write this work, so while I am doing it for her; it is still my work. Both her and I really hope you enjoy this adventure. ^^

It was a normal day when Derek and his classmates headed out for a field trip along with their homeroom teacher. They are brought to a village located in the middle of nowhere. The village dominated by a cult called 'The Order' has every intention of using the lives of these students as sacrifice for a man called Griezman who claims to be their god. Derek has no intention of dying in this pathetic place. "I'll do anything to get out of here!" Seems like Derek wasn't the only one with this goal in mind. Cindy was the least favored member of the temporary girl group project, indeed she was trained to be an actress, not an idol so it was understandable. She was so sick of waiting for the contract to be expired and took matters into her hands to look for a job. It was when her friend sent her portfolio to audition for a role. Who would've thought she hit the jackpot right away? Now, she was in the middle of the fame and wealth she never thought she'll get any time soon.
It was a simple story of how Cinderella handled her affair after she married the prince - some sort.

FORUM
*This is a place where we discuss and exchange ideas. This is not a novel*
Hey there! Check out this Forum, where we would be discussing your reviews, there would be thoughts for the day, me answering your queries and all about my announcement. This is by which we could improve our interaction. I hope this goes out well and fine and great and ENORMOUS AND TREMENDOUS AND MAGNIFICENT AND.......*phew*...
So....shall we start?
One popular formatting for a novel is to use a standard font like Times New Roman or Arial, 12 - point size. Double - space the lines for readability. Indent the first line of each paragraph. Include page numbers, usually at the bottom center or right. Also, have a clear title page with the novel's title, author's name, and maybe a simple design.
Well, for novels, it's good to have a simple and straightforward layout. The text should be justified, which means both the left and right edges are straight. For the front matter like title page and copyright page, they should be formatted neatly with the relevant information clearly presented. When it comes to the body of the novel, chapters might start on a new page or have some visual separation from the previous chapter, like a little extra space or a decorative line. Also, footnotes, if used, should be small and unobtrusive so as not to distract from the main text.
One best practice is to keep the formatting simple. Avoid using too many different fonts or colors. Stick to a maximum of two fonts, like a serif font for the main text and a sans - serif for headings. Another is to make sure your page breaks are in the right places. For example, a new chapter should start on a new page. And always proofread the formatted version to check for any formatting glitches.
In terms of the best formatting for a Medium story, consistency is key. If you start with a certain style of heading, keep it throughout. Make sure your text is well - aligned. Using block quotes can be effective for highlighting important statements. Another aspect is to use hyperlinks appropriately, either to reference sources or to lead readers to related content on Medium or other websites. This not only enriches the story but also makes it more interactive.
Best practices include setting consistent margins throughout the document. This gives a uniform look. Additionally, make sure your chapter headings stand out. You can do this by using a larger font size and bold formatting for them. And don't forget to save your document regularly in case of any technical issues.
Well, in my experience, the 5 x 7 inches page size can work well for certain types of novels, especially those that are more niche or aimed at a specific, perhaps more 'cozy' reading market. It gives a more intimate feel to the reading experience. However, when using this size in Microsoft Word, you need to be very careful with your formatting. You'll want to use a font that is clear and not too large or small, and also make sure your margins are appropriate. For example, a slightly wider margin on the outer edge can make it easier for the reader to hold the book and still be able to read all the text without straining their eyes.
In digital formatting for novels, one major aspect is the use of proper paragraph breaks. Since digital reading often involves short bursts of attention, shorter paragraphs work better. Font color can also be adjusted, but it's best to stick to black or a very dark shade for the main text. For e - books, consider the use of drop caps at the beginning of chapters for a more elegant look. Also, ensure that any interactive elements like bookmarks or note - taking features are enabled and easy to use, as these can enhance the reading experience on digital platforms.
