The Rebirth of a Butterfly

Five years ago Nirvana Sonowal and her family were humiliated without any logical reason by the rich, handsome fiance fixed by her grandparents. Yougal Lucas Sinha was the choice of her family, thrust upon her against her wish. On the day of the engagement he did not turn up to make it official. From being the center of envy and hidden malice, Nirvana who was better known as Nia, was reduced into a target of rude jokes and ridicule. Nirvana's grandpa suffered a cardiac arrest and died at the hospital. Her mother and grandma could not take the loss and humiliation, and embraced silence. In an instant Nirvana, the butterfly like fragile young woman was left alone to cope with disaster and loneliness. The man did not appear at the funeral of her grandpa, nor sent a word of condolence. Nirvana still appeared fragile like a butterfly but underneath that deceptive appearance lurked a woman who was mysterious and dangerous to play with. Five years later she met him, the rich, handsome once upon a time her fiance Yougal Lucas Sinha, at the birthday party of her best friend. The only emotion Nia could sense in her was revulsion at the sight of the man and for him she had one description, the evil shadow from the hell who brought Death, gloom and agony to her life. She never wished to cross paths with that piece of bad omen, least of all at Rhianna's party. Yougal Lucas Sinha decided to pursue Nia and change her hate into love. Fate worked against Nirvana and his union. 'Maybe I contributed too, to the work of fate.' He lamented. Nirvana was lost to him, this time he was determined to fight for his chance of happiness with Nia.

The original story of Madame Butterfly was a real event that happened in Nagasaki, Japan, around 1900. In the story, Captain Pinkerton married a Japanese bride named Qiaoqiao Sang (Butterfly). However, Pinkerton was only putting on a show about the marriage and returned to the United States shortly after. Three years later, Pinkerton brought his American wife to Japan again. When he learned that Qiaoqiao Sang had given birth to a son for him, he decided to adopt him. Qiao Qiao Sang was extremely loyal to Pinkerton, but when Pinkerton wanted to take her son away, she chose to commit suicide. This true story was later adapted into the opera Madame Butterfly.
