The Salt of the Prey

The Salt of the Prey

1805 - Lagos, West Africa. Her throes of labor echo through the village in the early morning. She is all alone, without a husband, without family. Her cries kept her kinmen awake, her voice an unnatural eerie wail that made dogs and cattle panic and break their binds as if they were being attacked by a predator. The tribesmen gave chase, but what they found instead of their animals was far more sinister. A party of white men, fresh off the boat from America armed with guns, full of greed and hatred. There was nothing the men could do, and so they and soon their village was overrun. Each hut raized, each and every man, woman, child chained and taken. Blood was spilled, those who tried to fight were murdered on the spot. Those who fought were beaten into submission, no one was spared... They pillaged, destroyed, and raped. taking what they wanted without care, or empathy to the people they saw as mere tools. Less than even an animal. They heard those wails, and for a moment felt a fear as they've never felt. However they had their job, and money made them blind. It didn't take long before they found the cause, a young woman, barely in her 20s holding a tiny newborn. This is what they had been looking for, but as they approached the woman with their guns and their chains it soon became obvious she wouldn't be as easy as the others. Their eyes met with deep liquid amethyst ones, vicious fangs inches long. She wasn't human. With supernatural strength the woman fought, clawed, ripped, and tore at those slavers, killing many but even then she was weak, the child bearing had left her weak and helpless with their overwhelming mass of flintlock rifles and heavy chains. They beat the creature down, bodies of their fellows draped over the dirt floor like an abstract painting of gruesome murder. But even then the woman clutched her child close to her breast, the newborn wailing tears of blood just like it's mother. She died there, filled with lead balls, bones broken, too weak to even stop as a burly man tore the child away from the mother. Her eyes seemingly melting back into a honey-colored brown before her body began deconstructing into pale ash. The man lifted the child, and grinned. "It's a boy, sweet mother, aren't you proud..." with their prize held greedily in their hands they butchered the rest of the men and women, and began their long journey back to their home, to rest of where this story lies...

However, his dreams are shattered when he is falsely accused of a crime and sentenced to death. Instead of being executed, Liam is sold into slavery and forced to work in the salt mines. He spends years toiling away in the dark, damp mines, enduring back-breaking labor and constant abuse from his overseers. Liam's only solace is in his studies, which he continues to pursue despite the danger of being caught. He becomes an expert in literature, history, and philosophy, memorizing entire books and reciting them to himself in the dim light of his cell. Despite his knowledge, Liam remains a slave, with no hope of escape or redemption. He watches as his fellow slaves die from exhaustion, starvation, and disease, and he himself suffers from chronic injuries and illnesses. As the years go by, Liam becomes more and more bitter and disillusioned. He begins to hate the society that has cast him aside, and he dreams of revenge against those who have wronged him. But when a fellow slave reveals a plot to escape the mines, Liam must decide whether to join the rebellion or to remain passive and accept his fate. As he becomes more involved in the plot, he realizes that his actions may have consequences far beyond his own survival. Set against the harsh reality of The Empire, "The Salt Mine Slave" is a gripping tale of one young man's fight for survival and dignity in a world that has abandoned him. It explores the themes of justice, suffering, and the search for meaning in a cruel and unforgiving world.

The following conclusion: The SAINT score is a tool used to assess the severity of bald spots. It splits the scalp into multiple areas and scores them according to the degree of hair coverage. According to the results of different studies, at week 24 of treatment, the primary end point was defined as a SAINT score of <20 points, which meant that the area covered by hair was less than 20%. Some studies have shown that the use of drugs such as baritini, deuruxolitini, and ritlecitini to treat baldness areata can significantly reduce the SATAL score and regrow hair. However, the specific weekly SAINT score data was not found in the search results provided, so it was impossible to give a specific answer.

" The Beauty in Salt Frost " was a romance novel by Sheng Wanfeng. It described Rong Yu as a woman with boundless charm. She was the biggest stain on Shen Ying's body. She was vicious and unrestrained, and everyone hated her. The novel was set in ancient times and described the entanglement and emotional development between Rong Yu and Shen Ying. If you like this type of novel, I can recommend some similar works, such as " The Lost Moonlight Strikes " and " After the Return of the Moonlight." These novels were all based on Gu Yantian's favorite novels, with high-quality writing and fascinating plots.

Colored salt was a material used for colored salt art paintings. Colored salt craft painting was a new type of painting with folk art characteristics. By painting colored salt paint on the base plate according to the requirements, it created a work with artistic appreciation and collection value. The process of making colored salt was to boil the bittern and edible coloring into powder, and then use a binding agent to mix them into colored salt paint. Colored salt art paintings filled the gaps in the domestic salt culture and painting art history, improved the artistic value of salt, and had huge market development prospects and economic benefits.
