A Speedster in a Fantasy World More than a thousand years ago, portals opened up in the world. Swallowing up the world whole with the vile creatures that came out of it. After a small section of humanity first freed themselves from the tyrannical rule of their former slave owners: the Tarx. They discovered they could use the corpses of the enemy to manipulate reality in ways human bodies were simply not built to accomplish. They created suits of armour to combat the enemy, named Tarksuns, which became the backbone of all conflict from then on. As more and more of the enemies biology fell into the hands of men, humanity boomed into a technological golden age, leading to rapid expansion and military action to retake the galaxy from the Tarx. They pushed further than ever before, creating vast safe spaces for humans to flourish. It's 2498 AR, and humanity shows no signs of slowing down. Their main force, the Vanguard, and its leader, the Empress of all Mankind, battle with fervour. They are trusted with the creation of new homes, to press on without hesitation. Yet, on a day much like any other, they are stopped dead in their tracks. The consequences of their ever higher sights have caught up. One, a ghost of humanity forgotten... The other, a saviour turned war criminal...
