Merasa tidak sanggup menjalani hidup, Sofia terjun ke sungai yang terkenal dalam dan dihuni oleh predator pemangsa daging. Dewa belum mengizinkannya untuk pergi, Seorang Jenderal perang bernama Mark Bonaparte menyelamatkannya. Pria itu merawat Sofia dan jatuh cinta padanya. Kesakitan hati yang mendalam, membuat Sofia bertekad untuk membalas dendam. Untuk bayinya, kedua orang tua, harga diri dan juga cintanya. "Sofia Charllote bersumpah. Zen William, harus hancur. Tidak peduli jika nyawa yang menjadi taruhannya!" Dengan dendam yang menyelimuti hati, Sofia mengabdikan diri pada iblis bernama Mashiver. Meminta kekuatan, harta juga kemampuan untuk mengubah separuh wajahnya agar tak ada yang mampu mengenalinya. Sejak hari itu, Sofia Charllote telah mati. Dia mengubah namanya menjadi, Aurora Esmee.
