Marinette was being bullied by Lila and her former classmates. Kagami takes pity on poor Marinette and helps her move to Japan where she can get a fresh start. Marinette takes the Miracle box and all the Miraculous with her, hoping to never use them. She also fakes her suicide, to make sure no one will pursue her. She then settles into her new apartment in Shibuya and enrolls in the local high school, Shujin Academy. Marinette hopes to start a brand new life in Japan, but fate has other plans in mind. The events that happened are from chapter 24 of season 3 Marinette is expelled from the institute for what happened with Lila, her friends turn their backs on her, alone and without anyone who believes her, she asks her parents to change schools, but not every school asks to be transferred to the same institute as her friend Kagami. That's where she plans her sweet revenge (In this universe there are no kwamis)
