I stopped reading the books because of the inability of the magic world to adapt to modern technology and methods. Why didn't the ministry employ enchanted firearms and highly trained special forces teams to take out Voldermort and his cronies? Why didn't Voldemort and other dark wizards learn and develop nuclear magics after WWII and the Cold-War? Why was magic so focused on traditional methods that didn't employ the scientific method? This story will delve into these questions and give you my take on a Potterverse that is, at times, darker and more magical than the one I remember from the books.
