Once upon a time, if a little girl studied hard, she would get good grades. The girl, named Lily, really wanted to be at the top of her class. So every day, if she had free time, she would open her books. As a result, when the exam came, she got excellent marks and made her parents very proud.
In young adult novels, conditional love often sets the stakes high. Consider 'Red Queen' where Mare's relationship with Cal is conditional on her place in a society divided by blood. Their love is tested by the political and social unrest, and this conditionality is what makes the plot full of tension and action as they navigate their relationship within a world that doesn't easily accept their union.
A good example from 'Hunger Games' is Katniss and Peeta's relationship. Their love is conditional on the survival in the Hunger Games arena. They have to act a certain way to survive, and their love story unfolds within the context of this life - or - death situation and the political unrest in their district and the Capitol.
The key element is the 'if' clause which sets up a condition. For example, if a person does something. And then there's the'main clause' which shows the result. Like if you study (condition), you will pass the exam (result).
To create such stories, start with a simple 'if' condition that is relatable, say 'If a dog sees a cat'. Then build on it. 'If it sees a cat, it will start chasing'. After that, 'If it chases, it may get lost'. You need to make sure each step is a likely consequence of the previous one. Also, add details to make it more interesting. For instance, when the dog chases the cat, you can describe how it barks excitedly. This makes the story more engaging.
If it rains tomorrow, I will stay at home. I'll probably read a good book or watch some movies. Staying indoors when it's wet outside is always a cozy option.
There is a boy and his dog. If the boy decides to enter his dog in a local dog show, he will have to train it a lot more. The dog is quite friendly but a bit clumsy. If the boy spends an extra hour each day teaching it how to walk gracefully and stand still, the dog might do well in the show. Also, if the boy can afford a nice collar and leash for the dog before the show, it will look even more presentable. He's really hoping that if he puts in all this effort, his dog will win a prize at the dog show.
A girl is desperate to go to a concert. She has her favorite band performing. If she can find someone to go with, she will feel much more confident. She's been asking her friends, but so far no one has committed. If she doesn't find a friend soon, she might still go alone. However, if she manages to persuade her best friend, who is a bit hesitant, by offering to pay for her ticket if she can't afford it, then they will go together. The girl is really hoping that her friend will say yes so that they can have a great time at the concert.
Well, here's another. If a student studies hard, they will get good grades. If they get good grades, they might get into a good college. If they get into a good college, they may have better job opportunities in the future. This real conditional chain shows the possible sequence of events for a hard - working student.
