Fifty Years of the Nigerian Novel, 1951-2000

Over the past fifty years, the Nigerian novel has grown to more than a hundred titles. This may appear to be rather a handful, considering the relatively long stretch of time. The fact is that not many have tried their hands at the occupation, or gone beyond the first book. It probably goes to show that writing is no easy occupation. What may be more remarkable is that relatively few, out of that handful, is known by the reading public, or discussed by the critics. Of course, it is t he task of the critics to tell us which of the titles to treat as literature, and why. Therefore, part of the reason why the reading public seems to know very little beyond what had been read as part of certificate examinations in literature must be that t he critics hav e not always played their part satisfactorily. A literary work needs to be widely discussed and presented in a variety of contexts to catch the attention of the reading public. Another reason is one often mentioned, which is that the Nigeria educational n system has not been successful in training the people who pass through it in the discipline of reading. Many a secondary school educated Nigerian has been able to pass his examinations in literature by studying publications of the questionan danswer type, which are coming out all the time, and are therefore relatively inexpensive. Heroes from Alternate universe

Heroes from Alternate universe

In an alternate universe, the heroes we once knew and loved have become depraved and corrupted. They have fallen deep into the clutches of the darkness within themselves, transforming into monstrous figures that now prey upon the innocent and engage in unspeakable acts of debauchery. Batman, once a symbol of justice and righteousness, has succumbed to his own authority and power, using it to manipulate and corrupt Wonder Woman. No longer fighting for the greater good, Batman takes pleasure in subjecting Wonder Woman to his twisted desires, pushing her boundaries and breaking her spirit. In a shocking turn of events, Naruto, the beloved hero of the Hidden Leaf Village, betrays his closest friend and rival, Sasuke, through the twisted act of NTR (Netorare). Naruto, consumed by jealousy and lust, takes what was once Sasuke's, leaving him broken and humiliated, his heart shattered by the ultimate betrayal. Black Widow, a skilled and fearless assassin, finds herself at the mercy of the mighty Thanos. The Mad Titan, driven by his insatiable desires, subjects Black Widow to a brutal and merciless beating, reveling in the power and control he exerts over her. Her body and spirit are relentlessly broken, leaving her a mere shell of her former self. Catelyn Stark, a noble and honorable woman, faces the ultimate punishment at the hands of Jon Snow. In a twisted act of retribution, Jon Snow takes it upon himself to teach Catelyn a lesson she will never forget. With each strike, he exacts his vengeance, his anger and hatred fueling the brutality of his actions. This alternate universe is a dark and twisted reflection of what we once held dear. The heroes we once idolized are now the embodiment of depravity and corruption, their actions leaving a trail of broken bodies and shattered souls in their wake. ____________ Themes: Corruption of power Betrayal Revenge Lust Violence Depravity NTR Target Audience: Fans of dark and twisted stories Fans of superhero deconstruction Fans of erotic and explicit content Length: >5,000 words Paterson: patreon.com/HeroesFromAlternateUniverse Note: This commission is for a work of fiction that explores dark and twisted themes.
