The mystic skill was a skill that all of those who shared the same animal gene would have and the unique skill is a skill created from a mixture of your gene and the gene that you have mixed into yourself. But Xiu was didn't awaken with a gene and it was the first recorded instance of that generation of happening so he was bullied for being weak and pathetic because everyone was ranked by strength.
