The Villain Ceased To Exist

The Villain Ceased To Exist

Lykus Ulfred, A mid-boss villain designed to be an obstacle for the protagonist in his initial rise to power at the start of the novel [The Last Of Legends.] His sole purpose in the story was to be a punching bag for the protagonist to practice his skills before he went out to take the final boss. An appetizer before the actual menu arrives! A goddam Exp farm for the protagonist! Lykus Ulfred didn't even last for the first three volumes of the novel. 'Why did I have to be transmigrated into the body of this trash, can't I be transmigrated into the body of some other mid-boss villain.' I wasn't upset about the fact that I was a villain. Rather than a hero, I would be a villain. Villains don't need to leave up to anyone's expectations and can do what they desire... At least to some extent. So that leaves the question why was I upset. I was upset because I got transmigrated as Lykus Ulfred. Lykus was nothing more than a bully. A human scum. He had nothing special about himself, neither did he possess skills, he can be proud of nor did he have the potential to be a leader of a clan. He didn't even possess an Awakened class that has practical use. All in all, he had nothing other than his background. Even when he died he was just a pitiful D rank. However, that would be the case if I was the former Lykus and not the current Lykus that is me- Xavier. A FREAKING MENTALIST!!! And as a mentalist, playing mind games and manipulating people is my forte. Now the point is, Can I SURVIVE with the help of my experience and a... SYSTEM?! .... Note: Please don't read this shit. it's bad. My discord link, if anyone is interested in the character art or just wanna have a wholesome time on our server. https://discord.gg/gUu6xB7vyX

For a fanfic to be considered the best in the 'The Mentalist' fandom, it needs to engage the reader on an emotional level. It could make you laugh with the characters' banter, or tug at your heartstrings with a sad moment. The fanfic should also be respectful of the source material. It can deviate from the show's canon, but not in a way that completely undermines what the show has established. For instance, if it changes a major character's personality too much, it might not be as well - received.

The characters of 'The Mentalist' are really engaging, and fanfiction about it is appealing because fans can rewrite or expand on their stories. Fans can make Patrick Jane even more brilliant or give Teresa Lisbon more challenges to overcome. Moreover, the show had a great premise with the whole mentalist concept. Fanfiction can take this concept further, like exploring how Jane's skills could be used in different situations or against new types of criminals. It also gives a platform for fans to connect with each other over their shared love for the show and their creative interpretations of it.

Well, some mentalist fanfiction involves creating alternate universes. For example, a story where the CBI is a private detective agency instead of a government - funded one. In this AU, Patrick Jane might have to deal with financial constraints while still trying to solve cases. Also, there are fanfictions that explore the idea of Jane having a different kind of power. Maybe he can not only read people's minds but also influence their actions to a certain extent. This could lead to all sorts of ethical dilemmas and complex storylines.

First, know the characters well. Study their personalities, quirks, and how they interact in the original show. For example, Patrick Jane's charm and his deductive skills are key aspects. Then, come up with a unique plot. It could be something that fills in a gap in the show's story or takes the characters on a new adventure.

It's unique because it takes the established world of 'The Mentalist' and adds a completely new dynamic with the presence of a baby. It's not something you'd expect in the original show, so it offers a fresh perspective.
