Because of this, the government of Vergessenheit had created the Shroud Procurement and Countermeasures Bureau (SPCB) in order to capture shrouds and use them to power the country. A young shroud man, named Aster, works as a shroud hunter, killing people of his own kind so that he can one day become human. The only way that Aster can achieve his goal is to follow the Arbiters' orders, but will his efforts may only lead to suffering. . . .
