Describe a flash fiction and plot of a story about a lost dog finding its way home.

There was a dog, Spot. Spot's owner took him to the park. But Spot got distracted by a squirrel and ran off. He soon found himself in an unfamiliar neighborhood. Spot started to feel hungry and thirsty. However, he had a good sense of direction. He began to follow the sun, which he knew was in the direction of his home. Along the way, he met some friendly kids who gave him some water. Eventually, Spot made it back to his home, and his family welcomed him with hugs and treats.

As the lost dog was roaming around, it came across a kind-hearted child. The child noticed the dog's collar with an address. He took the dog to that address. When the dog's family saw it, there were tears of joy. They thanked the child and took the dog inside. The dog was so happy to be back in its familiar surroundings that it immediately curled up on its favorite rug.
