Our high school band was rehearsing for a big concert. The percussion section decided to play a prank on the conductor. They switched the mallets for the cymbals and timpani without him noticing. When he signaled for the big cymbal crash, instead of a loud clang, there was a soft thud. The look on his face was priceless, and we all burst out laughing. After that, he took it in good humor and we had a great laugh about it.
