Steam Game: Doctors Travelling Back in Time Story - Who Could Be the Main Characters?

One possible plot is that the doctors are sent back in time accidentally due to some sort of scientific experiment gone wrong. Once they are in the past, they discover that a wrong medical theory is about to be established which will set back medical progress for centuries. So they have to use their modern medical knowledge to correct this, but they are constantly in danger of being seen as heretics or witches. They'd need to find allies among the more open - minded people of that time period to help them spread the correct medical knowledge.

Perhaps a group of doctors could be the main characters. Each with their own interpretation of the doctor's oath. Some might be more strict in following it, while others might be more flexible. And in the game story, they would have to work together or against each other while dealing with different medical and ethical situations.

A young and inexperienced member of the vanguard could also be a main character. Their naivete in dealing with the past could create interesting situations and conflicts. For example, they might accidentally change a small detail that has big consequences.

There could also be a mentor - like character. This character could be someone from the past that the protagonist meets again when they turn back time. The mentor could guide the protagonist in making different choices this time around.

Percy Jackson would be an obvious choice. His skills as a demigod and his experience with different quests would make him a great character to be sent back in time. He could use his water powers in unique ways in different historical settings.

Hide was always there for Kaneki, and if Kaneki goes back in time, he might want to protect Hide better from the start. Touka could also be a major part. Maybe Kaneki goes back to a time when he first met Touka and tries to change their relationship for the better, and together they could work towards changing the fate of ghouls.

The main character might be a business traveller. They are constantly on the move and one time, they have a really bad experience. Maybe they have a flight cancellation, which causes them to miss an important meeting. Then, they struggle to find alternative transportation in an unfamiliar place, and on top of that, their hotel reservation gets messed up.

The main characters could be ordinary citizens who rise up against tyranny, like a factory worker and a teacher.
