Well, in 'Happy Death Day', Jessica Rothe is really something. She has to play the same day over and over again but with different emotions each time. One moment she's horrified at her impending death, the next she's trying to be more self - reflective. Her ability to switch between these emotions and make the character feel real is what makes her performance special. Also, she has great comedic timing which is important given the movie has comedic elements in the midst of the horror.

Jessica Rothe's performance in 'Happy Death Day' is special because she manages to bring out the different aspects of her character. Tree starts as a rather unlikable person but as she goes through the time loops, she has to change. Rothe shows this transformation really well, from the initial shock and confusion to the growth in her character.

What's A King Without A System?

What's A King Without A System?

(Author's note: Story will be updated on August 3, 2020. I'm having my last semester in college so I'll focus on that for a while. Also, a remake will be done so reading this version would still be worth it. For those who were looking forward to more content, sorry but you'll have to wait longer. But my personal life has to come first, and this hobby can wait. If you're willing to wait, I'll give you your due reward, but not for a while. Thank you, and hope you like what you'll see.) The world as we know it is about to end. Billions of lives will be lost, countries devastated and society left in ruins. But if you have the power to save it, would you? Zel Huertazuela has had a life that's full of let downs. His mother was a debt-ridden mess, his father was an abusive angry bull while he gets nothing but insults when trying to fix them. He doesn't even know how to move forward with his life. “Never mind, I don’t really know what I want, why not just do what people tell me to? Money is needed you say? I’ll be an engineer then, those pay well right?” “Get a work that you would do even if you don’t get paid for it? What the hell kind of fantasy is that?” But that would have been it if it weren't for his sudden ability to live a lifetime in the span of a dream that lasts a night. "Wait, this isn't the hospital?!" "Where's my wife!" "Now that I'm back, I'll be rich!" "I'll fix the mistakes I made, there won't be any more regrets for this guy!" "Monsters?! No problem!" "We won in the dream, why can't we win in reality?" "What do you mean it changed?" "Help! How do I fix this?!" If you were given a second chance, would you take it? Even if you have to lose everything you built up today? Find out how a man finds himself saving the world by being the man who rules it! (The first volume is basically a very long prologue. The 'Battle of the Beginning' chapters will be more representative of what to expect from future volumes. This story is something I had in mind for a long time now so many of the ideas and scenarios can be seen in my other works but they are only similar, not literal copies. Enjoy!)

What It's Like Being a Vampire

What It's Like Being a Vampire

"What's it like becoming a vampire?" When Xiang Kun first sees this question on Quora, he treats the answers as nothing more than fantasy stories. Back then, he naturally never expected that it didn't take long before he had the qualifications to truly answer this question. After he recently losing his job, Xiang Kun experiences a series of inexplicable physical and mental changes—unable to eat or drink anything other than plain water, craving for blood, shedding a layer of his skin like a snake, staying awake for days before falling fast asleep for 30 hours, feeling uncomfortable staying in the sun... He has definitely transformed into a different person, or, is he even still a human? Driven by his determination to seek the truth, Xiang Kun embarks on a dangerous yet exciting journey to understand his identity and powers. Nevertheless, to his surprise, he seems to be the first person ever who has undergone those transformations... Is it his destiny? Why is he the chosen one? At the start, Xiang Kun doesn’t have the answers. But he refuses to give up searching. During his self-exploration, Xiang Kun is taken by surprise by the positive effects of the changes to his body. Realizing that he can train certain parts of his body to carry out extraordinary functions, he continuously pushes his limits from building his muscle mass to enhancing his sense of smell and hearing. These “special powers” enable him to solve crimes and assist others in need. Until one day, he discovers something that gives him a lead to the cause of the changes in his body... Can Xiang Kun uncover the truth and figure out what exactly happened to him? Will he trust anyone with his secret, or face all the challenges alone? Many mysteries and uncertainties await him.

100 days to Make the CEO Love Me

100 days to Make the CEO Love Me

"Is my fate already written according to the stars or do I create my own destiny?" Li Suji only has one hundred days before she turns twenty-five, and that also means she only has one hundred days left to find her reincarnated prince. She has no clue about the said man aside from the fact that she'll find him working at the Seo Publishing Company, and that the reincarnated prince will also have the same birthmark as she has, the mermaid's tail binds them together as the fated couple. She managed to enter the company as a trainee editor on probation as she heard through connections. Chaos arrives when she got tied with two CEO's at the same time. Will she be able to break her curse and make the reincarnated prince fall in love with her in this current life? +++ A scene suddenly came right through my eyes, as if it was directly right in front of me. This time, I was aware that I was not experiencing it firsthand though it still happened from my point of view. I was there, tending someone, probably a man. I was unbuttoning two buttons in his shirt because he was sweating too much. I was holding a wet towel in my hand and started to wipe his neck using it. "It tickles, why are you wiping my body so lightly?" The man asked, it seemed like a very familiar voice but I couldn't pinpoint who. I wasn't looking at the man since I was so preoccupied with looking at his perfectly sculpted body. "You shouldn't be doing that, no-no, you should do it the hard way." "H-huh??" The hard way? "Yes, should I do it instead?" He sat up, unbuttoned his shirt, took my hand, and guided me to wipe his neck down to his chest, abdomen, navel until his pelvis, "You should do it like this, okay?" As I was trying to hide the embarrassment of touching his body---I was touching the man's body with a towel, something caught my attention. Lower than his navel but the upper right side of his pelvis, I saw a mermaid's tail's fin. I scooted over, held the garter of his pants, and pulled it downwards. Voila. It was the mermaid's tail. Perfectly the same as mine. He's the one that I am looking for. I don't doubt it. I am one hundred percent sure! He's the reincarnated prince that I am looking for, for so long. The man grabbed my hand and made me look at his face. Sadly, I couldn't see who he was clearly. "What are you doing to a sick man's house, not to mention pulling his pants? Do you want to get yourself in trouble?" Yes, that's right. I'm already in trouble. +++ This story focuses on the reality of the workplace setting (office romance), slice-of-life, rom-com with tiny bits of fantasy elements. The setting is in modern-day Korea, I am not a Korean native so there might be some things that are not 100% accurate nor does it reflect the society and the country alone. The story focuses on character development and how the main characters grow in terms of love and life, has cliche and is a slow burn romance. If you're not reading this in Webnovel or Ficool, chances are, the book is plagiarized. Please support the author by reading this book in the Webnovel platform.
