Some of Stephen King's top short stories include 'I Know What You Need'. It has a sense of unease as it explores a relationship where one person seems to know the other's every need in a way that's not entirely natural. 'Strawberry Spring' is another excellent one. It plays with the idea of a serial killer on a college campus during a time when there's a strawberry - scented spring in the air. 'The Man Who Loved Flowers' is also a great short story that builds up a sense of mystery and then delivers a chilling ending.

One of his best short stories is 'The Mist'. It creates a tense and claustrophobic atmosphere as a group of people are trapped in a supermarket by a mysterious mist filled with terrifying creatures. Another great one is 'Children of the Corn', which has a really creepy premise of a town ruled by children with a dark and murderous cult. 'Graveyard Shift' is also excellent, with its disturbing events in a rat - infested mill.

What's A King Without A System?

(Author's note: Story will be updated on August 3, 2020. I'm having my last semester in college so I'll focus on that for a while. Also, a remake will be done so reading this version would still be worth it. For those who were looking forward to more content, sorry but you'll have to wait longer. But my personal life has to come first, and this hobby can wait. If you're willing to wait, I'll give you your due reward, but not for a while. Thank you, and hope you like what you'll see.) The world as we know it is about to end. Billions of lives will be lost, countries devastated and society left in ruins. But if you have the power to save it, would you? Zel Huertazuela has had a life that's full of let downs. His mother was a debt-ridden mess, his father was an abusive angry bull while he gets nothing but insults when trying to fix them. He doesn't even know how to move forward with his life. “Never mind, I don’t really know what I want, why not just do what people tell me to? Money is needed you say? I’ll be an engineer then, those pay well right?” “Get a work that you would do even if you don’t get paid for it? What the hell kind of fantasy is that?” But that would have been it if it weren't for his sudden ability to live a lifetime in the span of a dream that lasts a night. "Wait, this isn't the hospital?!" "Where's my wife!" "Now that I'm back, I'll be rich!" "I'll fix the mistakes I made, there won't be any more regrets for this guy!" "Monsters?! No problem!" "We won in the dream, why can't we win in reality?" "What do you mean it changed?" "Help! How do I fix this?!" If you were given a second chance, would you take it? Even if you have to lose everything you built up today? Find out how a man finds himself saving the world by being the man who rules it! (The first volume is basically a very long prologue. The 'Battle of the Beginning' chapters will be more representative of what to expect from future volumes. This story is something I had in mind for a long time now so many of the ideas and scenarios can be seen in my other works but they are only similar, not literal copies. Enjoy!)
